Hey Everyone

So yeah, it might sound odd but, downloading the 2.5 update is no problem. I opened S1, hit check for updates and startet downloding the 150 mb update file. So, what happens is - the update finishes, S1 closes itself and the OSX program "Automator" opens automatically and ask's "do you want to install this xxxxxxx file" - I checked yes and guess what " nothing happen. I can't find the update file on my HD, and seriously don't know how to get S1 to update this 2.07 pro version to 2.5

Anyone have an idea what is going on?!

I use Windows, so not sure on the OSX.
But, can't you just use your internet browser and login to the PreSonus Studio One website and download the executable from there and then install it?

Go here http://studioone.presonus.com/registration/ and then click on the login link once the page loads.

That's what I do for my updates on Windows any way.

Same problem here...running OS/X 10.6... The update to 2.5 starts, then opens "automator"...what's up? was this tested?

Hey Everyone - thanks a lot for the reply's!

I think it's a shame to reinstall the program from scratch and lose the settings I have build up now, there must be a normal and more delightful way to to this. Presonus kinda claims this updating from version to version wouldn't and shouldn't be more than just a click. I'm gonna write there tech support and let you all know what they suggest.

It's a bit frustrating

Actually, I have 're-installed' for every update (4 times now), and I have never lost my settings.
Granted I am using Windows, so not sure if OSX will act the same way.

But, after every update/re-install S1 has always retained it setting and my configurations.
Nothing I have setup, configured, added to or installed has been lost or reverted.
Hopefully it will act the same way on OSX.

Cool - thanks - I just do it like you did and see what happens, they also claim nothing should be lost, just found it odd that you had to replace files on the HD to update, but yeah whatever. Thanks a lot again TEKing66.

Hi everybody from Germany

I have the same problem with my update. I downloaded the update to S1 2.5 from the startpage directly from my S1 Professionell Version. Then I downloaded a nearly 150 mb action file and when I want to open / install this file, the programm "automator" starts and asks me if i want to install it ..... and i don´t know what to do in this programm, I tasted different ways there, but i had no success. ARGH !
why is this so complicated to get the newiest version ???
i wrote to the tech support a few days ago, but still get no answer till today.

what shall i do exactly with this atutomator - action - file ?

i know, i could download studio one 2 completely new from my account directly from the presonus page, but i don´t want to loose another one of my 5 possible authorisations .....

who can help me ?

You won't loose any activations when you download from your account on the webpage.
