Howdy. This post refers to post-1.7 oddness.

It may be just me, but when making changes in GEQ, there have been unpredictable changes in Sub Delay settings.

After the update, I got random values in the sub delays (our mains run off the subs).

After fixing, I accidenttly later cleared (flattened) the sub 3 GEQ. It introduced random values AGAIN. No recall - just flattening.

I hope this is just a one-time thing

It isn't just you. We found out about it today.

Can you give us your system information and a way to consistently recreate it? Presonus QA is very interested in figuring this out but we have to come up with a way for them to do it. It isn't happening for them.

Same here.though I haven't seen the correlation with the graphics. Once when I opened up SLR on iPad, once upon startup. I got the same delay both times, 25 ms on group 1 and 78 ms on groups 2, 3, and 4. Also, graphic routing is not being retained, and yes, it's on in settings. All graphics still "get" assigned to L & R, regardless of where they were assigned. I haven't used the SMAART, and probably won't unless my analysis/control machine fails.

Board did lock up once about an hour after first updating, uninstalled and reinstalled and it hasn't locked up again.

System is SL 24, Windows 7 Ultimate. 32 bit, 4 GB RAM. 1394 to FW. Machine dedicated to VSL, using another machine to run DSP and analysis.

Can anyone else confirm this on their systems please. We have to be able to consistently reproduce this in order to get it fixed.

Daniel, can you give us every step from turning on the switches to viewing the changes on the sub delays? It'll serve two purposes. 1 it will give us a repeatable method to confirm the bug and 2 it will let us all know what to avoid if possible.

I have not been able to reproduce this on my 1642 so I think it is isolated to the 2442.

same issue, whenever you change a GEQ value the sub group delays change themselves, i was getting a 16.5ms 78ms 78ms 78ms , also the GEQ are not making any audible difference in the signal it is outputting, although it still shows up that its changing in the smart rta or spect,

I am running mac os 10.7.5 Mac Book Pro 2.5 ghz i7 16gb ram

I too have the same problem with delay in the subs as mentioned by the others. The GEQ does make audible changes when adjusted on mine. In addition, the GEQ assignments on the AUX channels does not re-assign like they were when the scene was stored.

I decided to go back to 1.6 - That didnt work first time around, Totally had to uninstall 1.7, reboot, then reinstall 1.6

Ok. Just waiting on the video and I will send it to Presonus. It seems to be linked to GEQ movement.

Just a curiosity at this point, can anyone confirm that this is actually offsetting the sonic delay on the subs or is it just an indication? Also, if you manually dial in a delay and then move the GEQ does it still change?

So here's a thought to keep everyone up and running until we can get this fixed. Set a delay at the lowest you can set. I think it's .1 on each of the subs and may work if you just do it on one of the four. It shouldn't offset the audio enough to be noticeable and it will keep I from changing with the GEQ.

This will keep everyone running until we can get a solution. Everyone cool with that? Give it a test and see what you think of it.

It's just the normal process of plugging everything in.
Turn on the board
Plug it into my computer
Turn on UC
Then do adjusting.

All my settings are saved from the last time i used the board, but the moment i touch an eq (both the board and on the iPad), the system changes the delay system. It is an audible change as well, switching from 0 to 78 ms.

The last time i used it, i didn't touch the GEQ after setting the room and nothing happened, so i'm confident that it's linked to the GEQ.

sndguy: I wont be on the board til tomorrow, but if you can't get the video up, i'll take a vid tomorrow and post it. Could you let me know if you got it up?

Thanks guys!

Just downloaded 1.7 today Not sure if this relates but there appears to be default delay settings in the "SMART" section for "sub delay" that load automatically. I noticed every time I reloaded a scene that when you access sub delay tab in "smart" there are already pre set values that need to be "reset" but they keep coming back. If I remember right they were the same values listed above. Clicking the reset button sets them to zero.

Didn't physically have the mixer hooked up to the system (mobile live) as I was just creating, preloading some band scenes. Sure wish UC would allow this on a pc without being connected.

Also can anybody tell me why I have never been able to get the GEQs to retain their assignments? They always come back assigned to main mix 1-2 which is why I came to the forums in the first place today. Thanks!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING & MANY BLESSINGS TO YOU ALL!

Anything done on the GEQ tab in VSL triggers this feature, hope the vid upload works.
