This has to be the best thread for inspiring studio ideas, it's also the worst at preventing GAS.
I love my Bongo 6 string fretless!

GAS is an acronym for Gear Acquisition Syndrome.... You see something someone else has and you say "I have to get me one of those!!"
Sorry, Didn't mean to offend anyone.

Good day. I'm curious about the Akai 88 I've been wanting to buy one, but have never played on one yet....(No real music stores here).
I'm a piano player and want to know how the touch is on it. And is the touch adjustable?

Thanks for the info, very nice setup.

The touch is nice and full weighted. But it is a bit tight compared to some electric pianos. If you like the tight feel of say a big Steinway then this may work for you.

Taken on iPad using a pano app, so perspective is way out!

4 metres from door to wall but 1 metre is just doorway... Rest of room is a 3m x 3 m cube

Samsung laptop (core duo 2 - 2ghz - 4gb RAM)
Studio One V2 Pro
Maschine MkII & a crappy monitor
Korg microkey37
Cambridge Audio Amp & Really old B&W speakers + iLuv USB speakers (super awful!!)
Beyer DT100 headphones (they don't sound great but you can wear them for hours!!)
Sennheiser HD205 (cheap as chips - sound great but clamp really hard to your head, so can't wear for long)
Kore Nanokontrol2
Focusrite Scarlett 2i2

The last 2 items will hopefully be replaced by a Yamaha N12 during the next few months (& eventually by a new computer and a zed r16!!)

Also in shot my bass guitar and a superlux r102 (have 5 other; equally cheap mics under the desk) on my Hercules mic stand... Brilliant piece of kit the Hurcules... Huge recommend!

Here's mine:

It's a converted closet, about 7 feet (2.3m for our European friends) on each side. I record most all my guitars using a modeler, so I don't have to mic anything. The vocals are the only thing I really mic, and I basically just stand in the room facing outward and hope for the best LOL. The table on the left is my guitar workbench.
Life's tough. It's tougher if you're stupid.

Hey Rock,

I see an essential item in your studio - that green fly-swatter! What are the hanging paper puppet thingies?
