Look at the bright side... you've had plenty of time to save up for it.

I have never understood why they also make Capture...I mean S1 can do everything Capture does and much more...so why to keep them both?

Capture is made for us live sound folks so we can be up and running in literally 3 clicks. There's so much else going on at a gig and there is a time limit on how much you can do before the band starts playing set 1.

And as for awake1994, Capture is not a fully-functioning DAW and will never replace Studio One. That's just silly.

True. It's probably also the case that many SL users are not using, and don't want to use, Studio One, but are using PT, so Capture is probably just an easier way to record live with the SL, for them.

Capture has a very real benefit for field recording beyond the three click simplicity. It is streamlined for the lowest possible CPU hit, and very smooth load on the processors. All of the bells and whistles that are in a DAW that you don't really need when recording a live show just demand more system resources, and that can be the enemy of bullet-proof field performance. Capture is sort of a sub-set of S1. Neither is meant to replace the other, and I can't imagine they would consider abandoning either of them.

In a strange twist of fate, v4 will be release before v3.

Looks like a long way to go, and a short time to get there.

Costumers has right to ask about updated, bug fixes and new versions.

They purchased "a product" and they need to know what's going on as Presonus did not announced 2.6.2 as final version.

Would be nicer if you stop making fun of those costumers who wants to use, see new version of their " purchased product".

btw I am happy with 2.6.2.
