Or will I have to try to figure out where I put everything all over again

They don't really have to do anything but keep improving the product in a consistent measured way. There will be a market for it no matter what and 15 years from now someone will still be griping about something some other product has. Those who aren't happy will move on to something else. Those unhappy elsewhere may move to S1.

Very well said!

I personally would rather see incremental releases of a limited set of well tested features than a huge release that takes a year to stabilize.

I also like to the a nice long list of bug fixes and minor issues addressed. That attention to detail will pay off in the long run.

I found a couple more new things that didn't make the official list:

Input Quantize button right on the tool bar!

Auto Quantize feature in the Instrument Editor!

Cool

jonathan wrote:Version 1.6 of Studio One is now available in your user accounts. Please read the 1.6 Manual Addendum, as some information in the Reference Manual has become obsolete.

Among the updates listed below, some users will see increased performance due to improvements made with our multiprocessing support. In particular, where the audio routing is complex (ie; lots of buses, nested buses, virtual instruments with multiple outputs, etc) you should see significant improvement in performance.

The Studio One Pro and Studio One Artist 1.6.0 update includes the following enhancements:
=====================================================================================

- Chinese translation
- Free audio routing in mixer
- Rex file support in 64-bit Studio One versions
- Mackie HUI Support
- All Input support for instrument tracks
- Transmit option for learned controllers in Control Link
- Export settings saved
- Loop option for MTC in the Advanced MIDI options
- Resizing Modifier for Note Editor CMD: same length ALT: same position
- Autosave is now on per default

The Studio One Pro and Studio One Artist 1.6.0 update fixes the following issues:
=================================================================================

- Transpose command limited to 36 in Editor
- MTC could stutter
- Legato and Retrigger have no function in Mojito
- [Windows] Some CD Drives not working in Project page
- Project length calculation wrong when disabling last track
- Crash when removing Control Link device
- FF and Rewind now supported on MMC devices
- [OSX] Keyboard focus issues
- [OSX] Ctrl did not work
- ISRC not transferred from Project to Sound Cloud client
- Color selector preview not working for Event colors
- Some AU Plugin GUIs not updated
- Add Automation track dialog does not take name and position into account
- The new song folder is not completely removed when the new song is not saved
- Hanging note in Presence with activated Glide
- Presence can crackle at sample start
- Presence delay is off beat
- [OSX-64bit] Room Reverb is missing reverb tail
- Digital export in Project can create defect files when sample rate is different
- Slip editing not working correctly with Edit Groups
- Popup menus are placed on wrong monitor
- Pool not updated when renaming track
- Wrong media folder used after using "Save new Version"

Goodbye to Nuendo!!!! The divorce will be final as soon as I dload and install this update!!!! Thanks Krewe!!!!

Nope, it didn't work for me. After installing 1.6 I can reach only the Presonus VSTs, not the 3rd parties even that came with Presonus DVD.

I located the directory, scan at startup box was aleady checked, cleared the blacklist for next start-up and finally re-installed the S1 application. Neither of them worked for me. Any suggestions?

Well done PreSonus

I particularly love the "All Input" for Instrument Tracks and the extended routing options.

That's funny, all my locations had no problems. I didn't have to re-find anything. I wonder why some folks have this issue with folder locations.

You know, there is simply no better way to say this! You hit the nail right on the head. And I'd like to extend to those threads where people expect an update every 11 seconds. It's just insane. Thanx for the clarity Audiocave!!!!

Some of the people on this forum may NOT be actual PreSonus Equipment users. A lot of them left when the forum changed but, some zombies stayed.

I've never un-installed any version of Studio One, just installed every version on top of the previous. No problem with anything. Are you running S1 with admin privileges? Sounds like an autorisation issue, possibly.

I've installed the new version on top of the old one and lately I've installed (x86) version of the new version. On (x86) I can see the 32 bits but not the Guitar Rig LE (I'll reinstall it). On (x64), I see only the Presonus instruments, not a single 3rd party 64 bits, for example Guitar Rig LE (x64 dll comes with Presonus DVD).

Now I'm installing Kore Player, let's see whether x86 recognize it...

OK, I think the problem is resolved. I can see Guitar Rig 3 LE under FX folder in (x64) version and (x86) everything is in place.

And by the way I would like to thank the developers and Presonus people for creating such a quality software that helps pro and amateur musicians to create their works in a very user friendly environment and also for providing tons of free utilities that you have to purchase as extras on other places.

And also to the community who brings ideas for better SW and who helps others.
