I just wanted to chime in with my experience. I have a 2008 Mac Pro with a 2626 and Digimax FS. I recently just did a fresh install of OSX 10.9 on the mac pro. That is formatting the drive and wiping it clean of everything. I downloaded and installed the FIre Control driver/application from the Presonus site and hooked up the 2626. Open Firecontrol and set up all of the routing for the 2626 again and then set up the Digimax FS routing. Installed Studio One and it all runs fine. I have had zero issues at this point with OSX 10.9 and Fire Control with the 2626.

Me too, I have an FP10, which I installed with the last drivers that Presonus had made for Mac operating systems, and it is running just fine on my computer. I have a brand new mac mini with OS X 10.9 Mavericks installed. Works great.

So, it looks like people are not having any issues with the 2626 on Mavericks. I for one have been switching back and forth between Mavericks and Snow Leopard, and nope, not a problem to be found......seeing as this is the case in what looks like most peoples experience with the 2626, both on this thread, in my experience and a couple of mates with similar set ups. I can only assume that it is down to a lack of interest on Presonus' part. I mean, it works! and It wouldn't take an awful lot of work to release a official driver.

I have now got a new Apollo and have retired my Presonus rig for location gigs, I was considering a Studio Live, but not after the way that Presonus have left so many customers wanting.

Keeping your customers happy by providing an appropriate service is paramount to the survival of any business, it not only ensures brand loyalty and confidence in your product, it also helps to retain your customer base in the case of repeat purchases and will also help to grow it through word of mouth reviews.

if there was a GENUINE reason for the 2626 not being updated, I would have understood, it is fairly obvious there isn't....and that really, really sucks.....

Presonus, with all due respect, do yourself a favour and do the right thing.

Do the right thing... this ISN'T a Presonus only problem, and they will soon be releasing a statement to that effect... If you have in fact moved on... just do so or you look like your TROLLING...

I may just pull your post for that reason...stay tuned...

Fair enough, it isn't a Presonus only problem, I know that, This particular combination however, was the proverbial final straw.

I haven't completely moved on, as I said, I still use my 2626 etc for live/location stuff and I still use a couple of Eurekas and a HP60 in the studio. Kinda been a bit of a Presonus evangelist in my time. Granted, my main set up has now changed, (and believe me, I really didn't want to do that, but New Mac etc etc) however I am still looking at a Central Station as a monitoring solution....so....Trolling? Nope.

Like I said, I've been using the rig in lots of different Macs, running Snow Leopard to Mavericks, and I have had no problems what so ever.
Anyways, there's going to be an announcement? great thanks for the info

So, I stayed tuned........still no announcement?

For the record, I am asking a pertinent question as a past and possible future customer and pro user, so please, behave with the troll comments..

This thread was created to determine whether the 2626 worked with OSX Mavericks.....and it does, my personal experience is detailed below with all the various bits and bobs that I use.

As you can see, its working, it's stable and most everyone seems to be issuing updates or just works anyways (as per the 2626).

So, yep, I am still calling on Presonus to "do the right thing" and update the driver for the 2626 to support Mavericks. Jeez, Customer Satisfaction is one of the most important things for a companies longevity and profitability, how hard is it, with your expertise. This unit actually functions exactly the same under Snow Leopard, Lion, Mountain Lion and Mavericks......I know, I've tried it!!!

For Info, Mavericks works fine on:

2010 MacPro 6 Core
2009 MacPro Quad Core
2011 MacBookPro i7
2007 MacBookPro Core 2 Duo

With the following hardware:

MCU Pro, 2 MCU XT's and C4
Universal Audio Apollo Quad (Firewire) with Focusrite Octopre for Extra Channels via Lightpipe
Universal Audio PCIe cards (1 x Quad and 2 x Solo)
Native Instruments Kore 1 (with Audio Interface) and Kore 2.
Presonus 2626 (with Digimax DF 8 adding extra channels through Lightpipe)

With the following software:

Logic Pro 9
Logic Pro x
Universal Audio - All Plugins
Waves Mercury Bundle
Harrison Mix Bus
Native Instruments Komplete 5 through to 9, Including the good old B4!!, 32 bit and still going strong
All Line 6 Software from Archaic Pod XT Live, with Audio Interface via USB (I Know, but some clients like it!)
EZ Drummer and Addictive drums
Izotope RX Advanced

And I really can't be bothered to list everything else that works fine, in fact the ONLY thing that complained when I installed Mavericks was Little Snitch!!!

and in non music software terms:

Adobe Creative Suite 3 through to 6
All Canon EOS utilities, including remote shooting over wired and wireless. (Canon 70D, same utility, 10.6.8, 10.7.5,10.8.5,10.9.1 also IOS on IPhone!!)
Lightroom
Aperture
Final Cut Pro x
Motion
Quark 9
Microsoft office 2004!!!!

Like I said previously, the 2626 is in my live rig, the Apollo is in my Studio, with the Apollo I need a monitoring solution, and I WAS looking at the Central Station Plus, I am also looking at an ADL 700 to complement my Pre-Amp selection.....this was due to my good experiences with Presonus products in the main, however, bearing mind the support being dropped for a perfectly functioning product that has no direct replacement, give me one good reason why I should spend my cash with Presonus?

So, in summary, everything works fine, there may be a little work involved in qualifying the drivers, but really, c'mon....why on earth are you being so obtuse over this, use your expertise, prove how much customer satisfaction means to you, please, fix the issue, prove your products deliver and stay the course and maintain good customer relations.

So basically everyone should realize that if you buy one of their studiolive consoles and own it for 6 years or so, they'll drop their support for the product and stop releasing update software. Good to know. This is something I'll be letting people know.

Motu's legacy products are still supported, but that doesn't matter, I don' think anyone can classify these as obsolete. I don't think the studiolive will be obsolete very soon either. But I have to be thinking about my future when I make a purchase. Tascam was the first to do this to me. I'll be looking for a product from another company in the future, because there's obviously an expiration date on Presonus products.

Well, I haven't had any real problems, so no reason to open up support tickets etc....... in fact, that's the main part of my point, it all works fine, it's a great system, there's nothing like it on the market and I can't really see what the issue is! I'm not looking for lifetime support, as far as I can see, it works, so can be supported....which gains you extra kudos

Anyways, it's your call, lets see what transpires.

Well, good luck with that my friend. EVERYTHING in this world,(yourself included!!), has an expiration date.

I can see by your wonderfully philosophical insight that my point had been made. I guess I lose. Even though many 2626 units are still out there in full operation, the decision to drop support for them has been completely justified. Thanks to some snarky comments, I see the error of my ways. Presonus could even use this logic in their replies to all support inquiries. "Sorry you're having problems, man. All good things must come to an end, man."
