Are you sure about this mate? I've been testing it and I have no problems with this in every single channel. Everything working great and smooth making adjustements in Attack and Release while playback a song...
Laptop Setup:

Dell Inspiron 15r - MS Windows 8.1 64 bit,
-Intel® Core™ i5-4200U (2.6GHz, 3Mb Cache);
-6 GB de DDR3L D a 1600 MHz;
-1TB, SATA (5400 RPM);
-AMD Radeon® HD 8850M, 2GB GDDR5.

S1 really rocks! It's an honour.

And what a strong line. Sitting on a 50mbps line - and downloading the 150mb install-file took under 30 secs ... Well full speed is 24 secs -so quite impressive - especially as everybody downloads now

I'm using S1 primarily for live recording and really look forward to the Mix button on all the effects - and the Softube plug-in ...

I would recommend not updating to 2.5 at the moment for Waves or u-he users. They could sometimes crash S1 2.5.

Thank you Presonus! I agree with Eddie that this upgrade was easy and it went smooth as silk on my system. Great job of that!

Edit:

Just used the midi note overlap function and it works great. Also, on my Windows 64 system and Producer 64, brought in a video and it did play back OK. On my system, there was quit a lag between clicking Play and seeing the video run. Will keep an eye on this.

Thx alot for the update Works real good in windows 8 I tried to kill my system with at least 60 plugins and only get up to 50-60 % on my cpu even with heavy plugins and also tried out very low buffer size (64 samples). Works good but have some random Cpu spikes in this setting. Like softubes to! PreSonus you´r best! Thanks again and happy holidays!

Seconding this question. Is AmpireFX a separate download?

Downloaded and installed - and.... it *seems* as if there is less latency in the monitoring now. I am hearing less at least. Did that change? I looked over the change list and didn't see it. Is it a function perhaps of the MIDI changes instead?

Anyone else notice this?

I need to do some actual tests, but subjectively it definitely sounds better - less laggy.

Maybe I'm just experiencing a placebo from a new update!
