Lmike, yeah looks very good doesn't it. I like the ability to edit folder tracks and the big one is being able to record an output of a .track

I think your prediction of 1 November as release date will be correct.

Yeah. Editing closed folders is gonna help me a lot. I'm very happy about that change. I suppose the recording to busses will be welcome by the many people who've been asking for it from day one.

I love these guys. They actually listen to customers.

I hope AudioFanzine wasn't premature with their "leak", that PreSonus is ok with it..

Thing is, the competition have recently released their major updates so I can't see other companies stealing Presonus thunder. Plus if they were concerned they would have kept this under wraps rather than announce it at the Presonus event

Would love to see collapsing of folder track hides mixer channels. Other than that, I probably don't use 30% of the functions I already have. Tough to get my analog brain wrapped around stuff.

And if I did, I'd probably forget how to drive.

Well, we didn't anything about the mixer there, but they may well have implemented some mixer features. Here's hoping for coloured tracks.

Oh yes, Editing track folders, Really wanted this one, spliting and moving them etc,
I can actually see how they could go on and utalise this in the future for adding to a preformance grid/mode, you could group stuff and drag into a grid for triggering as blocks, and idea that has sprung to my mind a few times, this way you can also do some great remixing and even better if you could save these blocks for later combining into new songs, oh yes, best of boths worlds, throw in on some effects racks that could combine control link, meaning not just limited to 8 controls like ableton,i can but dream, but seems like a very logical future step.

looking forward to this next update,Presonus are on the ball, they know just how to keep us hooked, well done all at Presonus and thankyou for the video Jonathon.
Just imagine being able to have this view in s1, for multiple lanes at the same time, better than the multi lane midi editor, which is more for orchestral arrangent, and bare in mind you cant beat this for drum sequencing also, its a must have view.

I can dream can't I?

Yes, I dream also. Us hardware users need some much needed attention.

Wow, this looks like a great upgrade, and Jonathan showed us what? Maybe 4 or 5 new features out of 100 or so. I'm loving the new comping features, that's how it worked in logic, which is really nice and easy to use. But Presonus went above and beyond and added some tagging capabilities so you can tag good and bad takes. That's going to be great. Everything he demo'd looks very useful, whether it's going to be used by everyone or not, as LMike said it proves they listen and are always looking to improve the product. Guys that are worried about "Bloat" can see that first and foremost they are improving features that already exist to streamline workflow. I really like that workflow is their top priority when implementing features.

Presonus scores 4 out of 4 for me. Those 4 feature adds/improvements are definite work flow improvements for me.

Nice job Presonus.....can't wait to see the other 96

Presonusphere did bring mention of MUCH improved controller support. Rick Naqvi went out of his way, on stage, to confirm controller support is one of the top priorities now.

Midi improvements were mentioned but I didn't get the feeling that 2.5 would hold them (although I could be wrong). Sadly I missed most of the presentations as I was too busy showing noobies what Studio One has to offer.

That sounds promising. Finally my artist mix and arts unmuted x1 will be a good team.
