I assume that since version one of artist is still on my computer I can upgrade that to pro V1 with the upgrade I purchased for $99. And also I assume V1 pro is still better than V2 artist, eventually I will upgrade to v2 pro just not now. This whole upgrade thing and new versions coming out at the same time is confusing. Thank you for the quick response. I just do not want to waste $99.

You have Artist v1.
You have upgrade Artist v1 -> Artist v2.

You also have an update Artist v1 -> Artist v2, but you haven't used that yet?
Logic tells me that you can't upgrade the same software twice. You already upgraded Artist v1 -> Artist v2.
Contact tech support for an official answer would be my best guess at the moment.

Update

1. Some users have been having problems with Melodyne and S1 v2 (Installation) so I have now added a link to a thread Motoko started that provides a detailed solution.

2. Another question that has popped up more than a few times is "What content do I install?" I added a link to another Motoko thread that guides users through the process.

Both of these additions above can be found in "Part 10 Problem Solving" Thanks for those two threads Motoko.

3. I have seen a few questions asked about the full list of v2 features. The direct link for that can be found in Part 1 of the FAQ

Temporary solution

I added some links for the S1 v2 download here to help some users who cannot download from the official v2 site but...

MODERATION: please do not expose downloads.

...

So if you still cannot get hold of the demo files from the S1v2 web site you will still need to keep trying

Traffic should have died down by now so it should be possible to get the demo files.

Things to try...

1. Another browser

2. Another second PC or MAC

3. Give it a bit more time. If there are issues with the server or download process for certain browsers I am sure they will be addressed soon.

4. Try downloading outside of peak Internet usage times for your location.

I hope that helps

Bought the S1 Ver. 2 Pro upgrade in November, but due to a project in progress in S1, I postponed the install. Now that I delivered the project, I am now installing Ver. 2. Had a few issues, then found this forum. Nice work guys - very nice. Thanks so much for your effort on this. Very much looking forward to scoping out the new features of Ver. 2. that I wish I had available on the last project!

Hi Guys,

I currently have Studio One Pro ver: 1.6.5.16006.

I am wanting to upgrade to the latest version Studio One Version 2.

I have followed all the links from "My Account" thru to "My Software". I click the "Upgrade" button and it opens a window that asks for the Key. I enter the key and another window opens saying "Product Upgraded to....You have successfully upgraded your product." It shows a whole list of different products but I dont see Studio One Version 2 among the list?

So Im a little confused here. I still don't know how to upgrade? Every other software program I've used, you just hit the "Upgrade button", pay for it, and it downloads the upgrade?

Please help me

Thank you

Hi Lani

Can you not see the Studio One Version 2 key in your account still? If not try refreshing the page.

Did you follow all of the steps below?

1.Log in to your PreSonus user account at http://studioone.presonus.com/registration, and click on My Software.

2.Find the listing for your copy of Studio One Artist or Pro version 1. Under this listing, you will see an Upgrade Software link.

3.Click on the Upgrade Software link, and then enter your Studio One version 2 Upgrade product key, and click on Submit.

4.You will then be presented with a list of links to download the Studio One 2 installer and the relevant bundled content.

a.If you are connected to the internet, simply download and install Studio One 2, and then use the Studio One Installation menu to download and install the content from within Studio One.

b.Otherwise, download the content as well, and copy it to the machine where Studio One 2 is installed, and drag and drop it onto the Start page to install.

c.If you have the Studio One 2 retail package, installing the content from the included DVD’s will be easiest.

Note: that Studio One version 1 will remain as a separate listing under My Software, with your new copy of Studio One 2 being added to the list.

I have recently started a new project and have been very enticed to upgrade from my Artist to the Pro Version. One of the things holding me up is my question if I would loose everything (editing and such) that I have already done to tracks on this project. Or, if I upgraded, would I just be able to open up the project and it would pull up as if I did everything on the new Pro version? I would really like to upgrade if I can without having to redo all the work I have already done on this project. Maybe it's a dumb question but I am an audio engineer not a software programmer
