I hadn't seen that picture CT.

I saw a product listing for the new 700 which also had text saying it had been discontinued. I assume I saw it in transition to being removed, the listing, since it's no longer there.

Actually, that's the ADL 600 in that pic. The 700 is a single channel unit. Here it is... http://www.prosoundweb.com/article/presonus_announces_the_adl_700_channel_strip/

I would love to see a little Android OS love... I see a lot of cool apps for the iphone but nothing for android. Since a lot of these are wireless solutions, the android is a viable platform

I see where you're coming form with Android, but I think the OS is still too fragmented to really put out a program that demands stability. Each android device has different specs etc. whereas with iOS there is uniformity. In my experience with android, there have been serious stability issues with the majority of apps I've used. Just my thought on that.

Also, I would be bummed if we don't see a new faderport or control surface. It's been 6 years since the faderport was announced.

Development takes time, but it's funny when I'm producing a track n I get to one of those, "ah man it doesn't do that"? moments, the paitiently waiting thing goes out the door.

There's no question that S1 is a hell of a daw, but it's missing alot of the bread n butter for us midi guys.

If Summer Namm didn't pack a point release,or a major release for Midi, I'd be bummed. It's really about that time for more advanced midi options.

I agree with you on this. Not only did many leave their favorite DAWS, but we converted others while doing so. But although in the past I have done a TON of MIDI, These days I find myself thinking more along the lines of Musician/Engineer.

I'd like to see more functionality in Mixing and Recording especially concerning 3rd party Apps.

For instance "V-Control" is BOSS, but S1 limits what it can do. But all in all. I still Love S1 for what it can do.

I had my first crash while recording the other day and was completely shocked.

Whatever they implement I just hope it remains Stable and Easy to use.

I agree in certain aspects, so I guess it comes back to controller integration... I have used TouchDAW over4 different devices, 3 different 'major' OS updates, 3 different manufacturers and 2 different platforms (phone and Tablet) and, without updates to the app, works admirably.. I guess at about 80% (the same for my FW-1884) of app functionality controlling S1... I can get a little higher using Bome's in conjunction... maybe I should just be happy with that

I resist the iOS because uniformity breeds runaway pricing... c'mon, why should I pay an extra $150 for an additional 32GB when I can buy cards all day long for $17... imho

Because for an extra $150 you get stability and early app development

It is well past time for proper controller support. Tired of clients asking me why my faders are jerking around like they are having a seizure. Also, how about support for windows driver protocols like wasapi? How about at least decent video support in 64bit (or 32 for that matter) . Always have to use Sonar for voice over work or sound for film. Luv S1....just saying!

Hmm Maybe a new FaderPort is in the wind? (Although not in that previous picture!). They did seem to be getting rid of stock by giving away the current model with Studio One? Was it a sign?

Probably not for Summer NAMM however.. Maybe later in the year or at Winter NAMM !!!

Hi, i noticed you are a Tascam FW1884 user. Do you have it set in Mackie HUI mode or Mackie Control? I'm getting about 80% of the functions to work in S1 too. Mackie Control mode, I lose a lot of functions with that.

How do these NAMM shows work? Will presonus announce everything at the beginning or gradually throughout the weekend?

Nice review of Auria. I hope they have a free trial. Not sure I want to drop $49 on an app before I try it. Looks like it would be nice for bringing tracks to work and editing them on lunch...lol
