Does S1Pro run equally efficient, and stable on both Mac and PC ? or is there a better platform (ie. runs more efficiently on PC than Mac) ?

I ask this, because Cubase 6 is known to run better on PC than Mac.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Cheers,

I'm not seeing any specific performance differences, for me it's similar on both platforms.

That's very helpful to know.

Thanks Motoko.

I would suggest you contact support and get them to help you out. Not much we can do from here in your case, I suppose.

They wrote me and told me to do what I had already done a million times and it did not work.

ctguy, check your email for a new product key you can try. Let me know if that does not work.

Nothing has come, my old artist 5anb-wq6m-45gy-bo4h-kkth-77x7-ai23 is the one someone sent to me and said to use it for the upgrade, which does not work. I feel my license I have is for artist only.

I've sent the email a few times now. If you do not have it, then the email on your user account is incorrect, or is filtering mail from the presonus domain. Please check this.

Cakewalk Sonar X1 Studio is now $99. Maybe $100 price range is becoming normal when on sale.

Maybe it is time for a detailed announcement about S1 version 2.
I like S1 Artist, but Sonar Studio comes with Z3ta+, V-vocal, Audio Snap, plus VSTs available. That is extremely competitive.

For me, the key is whether Presonus would give us some grace period for free upgrade during the current half price.
Maybe they can be willing to do so for purchasers direct from Presonus website (not through retailers). Just a thought...

I know it is very soon because there is going to be a book for S1 ver2 on Dec 1st.

Thanks for the link to the new S1Pro V-2 Book on Amazon.

I have a feeling that Version 2 will be a huge success for Presonus, and will dramatically increase their user base.

Eagerly looking forward to begin using S1Pro-V2

Pro = $199 US
Artist = $99 US
Upgrade from Artist to Pro = $99 US.

I don't see a discount option for Cross Grades.

1: Cross grade is $299 (25% off retail)
2: Outright price is $199 (50% off retail)

ASSUPTION TIME (I know, bad - bad - bad)

1: Upgrades to the new version will likely be around $199 (Presonus still gets their full $400 for the product in the end)
2: Cross Grade will still exist to the new version, likely the same price of $299

Based on that I would be better off waiting until version 2 comes out and buying a cross grade. But my trial is running out in a week - and I am hooked on the stability - LOL!

Studio One 2.6, Intel Quad Core (Q9300, Windows 7 Pro, 8GB Ram), Presonus FP10 (Firepod), FaderPort, Axiom 49, POD X3 Live, Mackie 1202 VLZ, etc... etc...

$199 for an upgrade to v2 is steep! I'd pay 100; max 150.

Arghhhh And I just bought the update from Artist to Pro for the full price...
That hurts. I thought so long about if I should buy it or not...
If only I would have waited two more weeks...

Sometimes I hate that buying software becomes a kind of lottery lately.

Anyway, congrats to all who get this deal, the software is awesome, even for the old price!

Cheers,

Tom
