Hi everyone,

i just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone that contributes to the forum for passing on their knowledge and experience to me. I do not in any way shape or form consider myself at the pro level of audio engineering and am always willing to learn from everyone (whether they have less or more experience than me). you guys have bumped my knowledge ten fold and i appreciate it a lot.

Special thanks (from me) goes to:
Mike the audio guy, gadget, jerryd, markus, the guys in the sub coupling thread and of course mono (for being mono ) - i learned a heap from you the past couple of weeks i sincerely appreciate it.

Its nice to able to talk with audio guys that are willing to share knowledge and not just look at you like your a kid/amateur when you ask a question, whether its basic or advanced.

o yeah and the presonus guys - u rock too! thanks for great products and for just listening.

I don't think there is one of us who is a "regular" here, pros included, that hasn't benefitted from the knowledge sharing and enjoyed the cameraderie here -- even the grumpy old guys like me are still learning every day. So thanks for saying thanks, and especially for joining in the fun here with us!

Amen.

I get as much from listening to your mixes as you get from anyone else. This is still art. It's always interesting to hear how someone else approaches it. We can talk all day about the technical side, but it's still art in the end.

A long time ago, I heard a statement about songs that I've never forgotten. It went: Never be critical of someone's song until you've been in the songwriter's head.

No difference here. This forum is awesome!

I'm very proud of our forum. It's probably one of the most friendly audio places where you can get answers and not have others make you feel stupid for asking a question.

Thanks to all of you for participating!

Rick, you've always been da' man. I wouldn't have any idea who Patty Griffin was if it weren't for you. Now, she's my favorite song writer of all time. I remember all three of the artists you told me I should listen to...about 12 years ago. Smart dude.

This really is the best forum I've ever been a part of. It's because of YOU and the people like you at PreSonus. Damn. This is nice.

Aw shucks, Mike. Thanks for the kind words.

But I really think that the members of this forum are unlike any forum I've ever seen. They are legitimately trying to help people and there are rarely any negative statements being made (aside from the occasional troll). But the natives are totally friendly and it makes this place cool to hang out in.

Wow, almost forgot I told you about Patty Griffin! That reminds me I need to transfer that to my iphone.

I look at this place as what has helped to shape the sound man that I am. And I know most of us feel obliged to repay the community by passing what we know on to others.

Thanks for the kind words and I credit the same people that you do for getting me where I am today.

So true. I just wish this kind forums were while I started on.

But it was back then when telephones had firm cables on, movies were blackĀ“n white, bigger venues used oillamps instead candles, I used to ride on my dino to see some chicks...

I too appreciate the help I get here. I also like the fact that it is "family friendly" so to speak. I share alot of my music with my family and friends and appreciate that everyone seems to keep things on topic and focused.
