Hello
Can't find anywhere else to discuss this topic so please leave posts of what you would like to see if presonus came out with a dedicated control surface for studio one.

I'm open to most anything when it comes to a controller but there is one thing a controller needs (any controller) before I'd buy it. It absolutely has to have meters or an optional meter bridge or something that shows channel activity very clearly.

Other than that... to all suggestions re: a controller.

I would like to see a 61 note keyboard controller with transport controls and many sliders and knobs. An LCD screen on it would be nice too.

How about they not worry about re-inventing the wheel and make S1 work with existing controllers?

Would be interesting to see and I suspect something like that will be on offer at some point in future.

This is a quote from a thread on the old forum discussing the same topic:

I hope to see Studio One 2.0 and a dedicated Presonus controller at NAMM 2011. I say an excellent chance.

The post about EuCon is dated...I'm not sure about this being integrated into S1 at this point. We looked closely at the protocol, and the viability of the controllers that use it in relation to our customer base...it's difficult to prioritize this among many other high priority items.

Probably the best idea I've heard. Although I like this idea.

Actually, there's a great reason for this...integration. Existing controllers are generic boxes with x faders, x buttons, x knobs, maybe a screen, etc...completely separate and apart from the software they control.

This it not to say we won't continue to improve/expand the surfaces we support, only that we can do much much better than existing solutions by creating a highly specialized controller for S1.

Cool!! but all I ask is that you please make a mixer style controller and not a Keyboard style controller. If it doesn't have flying faders, for may of us it would be useless.

Just a friendly suggestion

Steinberg CC121 controller, copy it exactly would be my suggestion. Presonus could call it the S1-21.

I have a CC121 that I was using with Cubase 5 and although it is nice, I would rather they not copy it. I had no use for all the eq crap on it. I would rather have seen a few more faders rather than the EQ section.

I did, however, like the AI knob (which really just an extension of the mouse wheel.)
