I have 5 completed songs, they are in different tempos. I want them to overlap in the mastering suite and create mp3's exactly how I arrange the overlapping songs. S-1 is not creating a single mp3 or wave file, instead there are 5 mp3's or wave files that are separate and no longer overlapping. I then tried to burn to CD the master project as it should be but halfway through it times out and closes.

How am I to do this? (overlap all 5 songs of different tempos seamlessly and create one mp3?)
I'm on a deadline and this is the kind of nightmare I wanted to avoid.

Studio One will not create a single file as there are tags between each song automatically. Programs like CD Architect for Sony will allow you to remove these tags but S1 will not.

The only way around this that I can think of is to just import the separate files into another song, put every other song between 2 tracks to make them overlap and render it as a MP3 file, directly from the song page.

Studio One's Project page is not geared to render a single Mp3 file for multiple songs.

Now, that said, you can render an image of a CD but I believe that will be only a wave file. Maybe Jonathon can elaborate further on that.

There is no overlaping? then why can you move one on top of the other? this is a huge dissapointment

There IS overlapping and it plays perfectly on CD players. You just can't render 1 single MP3 file from the project page, where it contains multiple mastered songs.

The project page is setup for burning Red Book style CDs and they contain PQ codes and track identifiers for CD players.

The Digital release option allows you to render all of your mastered files as an MP3 group that can be triggered by an MP3 play-list launcher. The song will overlap there too.

But again, the Project page can not take say, 8 master files and render one single MP3 for continuous play. That's the issue here. He just wants one big MP3 file (no breaks) containing all the separate songs.

If you want to do this, Do a digital release as wav files, bring them back into a "Song" overlap as needed and then export a single MP3 from there.

No need to be disappointed. S1 Will do overlaps. I do them all the time. See the explanation above.

gorgon, if you open the .M3U playlist for the MP3 Album that gets created (it's in the folder with the MP3s) you should hear the overlaps. Otherwise, you've just got separate MP3 files that do NOT contain overlaps...I'm not sure why you would want this in any situation.
