Hello,
Trying to order (backorder, actually) the Gator doghouse road case for the SL24, but they seem to be playing games at guitar center, MF, Music 123, etc. The titles for all the cases are generic, and there are no pictures.
So, if anyone can lookup their past order and give me the SKU for the PRE242-DH, I would greatly appreciate it. I called guitar center and, before I go into a rant, let me just say, it wasn't productive.
Thanks in advance.

Wish I could help. I try to stay away from the MF/GC. I vist GC now and then, and don't know that I've ever walked out knowing anything I didn't already know when I walked in. They have industry-standard gear, but they seem to need a better training program for employees. MF is usually pretty good with shopping cart sales and automated stuff, but the couple of times I've had to deal with someone on the phone, I got the feeling I was in GC...

Do a Google search for "gator g-tour pre242-dh". You can get it from Spectrum Audio for $450, shipped, (I'm not vouching for them, but at least they have the item plainly for sale) and for $500 at about a dozen other places.

Thanks for the input, Andrew. I might have to look at them. Comes to about $460 for me, but still decent.

Hi Knerr,

This is Skaught from Musician's Friend. I'm very sorry to hear about the confusion from us! We don't carry the Gator PRE242-DH at this time, but we can special order it from Gator as we are an authorized dealer. I would personally be happy to make sure you get the best price available. Please feel free to email me at forums@musiciansfriend.com so that I can help.

Thanks!

Thanks Skaught, I appreciate your offer. I have to confess I ended up using your sister company, GC, because of their $100 off promo. With enough digging, I was finally able to cross reference the SKU on another of the sister company's sites, though they are all fairly nondescript on those listings. The SKUs were all the same, but no descriptions or pictures or even model names. A couple sites didn't quite get the model name wiped everywhere, so I am pretty confident I got the right one, but I guess we'll see. It would certainly suck to get the wrong one, but I doubt I would get hurt too badly.
