I submitted the following to the Presonus support group and received what looks like a canned response telling me that all I had to do was read the getting started guide. That guide does not answer my question...I read it before I asked, so unless I missed it...

Anyway, was hoping to see if I could get an answer fron others on the forum. See question below...

Key Commands for setting start and end of transport loop?
I am lookng for the key commands to set the start and end of the loop in the transport. In Cubase (my former DAW...THANK YOU PRESONUS for StudioOne!) they key commands are "[CTRL] Num Pad 1" to set start of loop location and "[CTRL] Num Pad 2" to set end of loop location. This was very helpful and prevented having to drag the start and end of the loop indicator around. I can not find that key commands for these functions in StudioOne Pro. Thank you for your assistance! -- Marty

on windows OS: CTRL + click sets the start marker, ALT + click sets the end

on mac OS: Command + click sets the start, alt +click sets the end.

it seems these key commands arent customizable which i find kinda annoying since im used to using the alt and command on the left of the keyboard meaning its the wrong way round

you should add what computer and OS your running to your signature. it makes it easier to answer.

Thanks for the reply soundboy...that's helpful...but I'm really looking for a key command that will set start or stop loop to the current position of the "playback" bar. For example, playing a song...the current position vertical bar is moving along left to right in the track view window...the playback "bar" is currently at 00:00:42.497 seconds. In my old DAW (Cubase) I could hit CTRL-NumPad1 and the start loop would move to that position, or CTRL-NumPad2 and the end loop would move to that position. It was very handy to be able to set start/end without moving the cursor. Sounds minor maybe, but it is a really nice feature that I used all the time.

That's the functionality I'm seeking...I can't seem to find a way to even customize the key commands to do this.

That function doesn't exist, so you can't bind a key command to it. A nice thing to have though, I'll try to get it in.

The Ctrl/Alt + click to set the start/end can't be changed in the Key Commands menu because functions that involve a mouse click are not included in the list...I'll see what can be done.

If you could have a key command added that would set the end marker to the end of the longest track it would be so sweet.
Thanks
