Is your burner recognized in other burner apps such as Toast or whatever you have used prior? Just checking.

Never had anything prior. This is my first time fooling with any of this stuff. I can get it to MP3 form and dump it on a thumb drive. Now the system we are using is windows 7. we bought it new from Best Buy strickley to run the studio live with capture and studio one pro so we could burn c.d's. It hasnt been configured for anything special like music, so i was wondering if i needed to change any of the computers setting to get it to work. I dont know all the operating specs for the computer, but i do know going buy the studio live manual we are way over what is required we have plenty of ram and i forget how much memory but it was alot more than we had to have. But the computer wasnt configured for music it is just an off the shelf model.

As mixus suggested can you burn CD's with any other software? You are on Windows so you could try installing this free software and attempt burning a CD with that. If you cannot burn with that software it could be a problem with the type of CD drive you have in that PC. It could be for CD playback only or maybe a driver issue.

CDburnerXP supports Windows 7 as well despite the name...

It's most certainly a driver issue. Depending on the mainboard/chipset and assuming you have an Intel machine you may need to install Intel's Rapid Storage drivers (previously known as Matrix Storage).

iTunes uses the same stuff we do to burn CDs, so try it in iTunes if you can.
