Can you record at 96k with a Digimax 96k connected to a Digi 002 board (ADAT)?

Sorry, this might sound like a dumb question. But, to my knowledge, you can only record 44.1 and 48k. Is there a way to record at 96k?
Im connected using the adat optics cable

Looking at the product info for the Digi 002, I would say yes. Just remember to look through the FS manual, if I remember rightly you have to use two ADAT cables for 96k.

Unfortunately I dont have the manual. The manual that you can download off the internet only shows how to connect to the digi003 which has inputs that the 002 does not. SHUCKS.

Thanks for responding though man, I appreciate that.

Download the digimax manual was what I meant. I just googled the 002 to get some info.

HELP please!!

I have a Digi 002 running with Pro Tools 8 on a i7 running Win 7 64 bit. I can not get the 8 track adat light pipe input to work from my PreSonus DIGIMAX 96K. I have tried everything in the manuals for the 002, the DIGIMAX and Pro Tools. I've tried 44.1 and 48K sessions, Iv'e tried setting up the digimax as the master and PT sync will not switch to adat, and when I try to make the digimax a slave it wont lock up.

I've built a small studio in my garage and my setup was banking on the digimax playing with PT so I would be able to do 16 tracks at a time. This is so frustrating I would be willing to pay someone to come in and fix the problem if it could be fixed at this point.

Have you tried a BNC cable to lock the clock timing between the two devices?

The manual is correct it does send the clock via adat too, you get a red for adat and a blue for BNC.

Paul

Try disconnecting the cables etc and starting again. I seem to remember having some confusion about which socket did what, it wasn't that clear from the manual, at least not to the way my head was reading it. It could just be that you've got something patched incorrectly. http://archive.digidesign.com/support/docs/Getting_Started_with_002.pdf
http://www.presonus.com/uploads/products/1051/downloads/DigiMax_FS_Owners_Manual-EN.pdf

The two links may help, you may already have them, if so apologies.
