I just joined the ranks of StudioLive owners, and I'm probably wrong, but I thought that the 16.0.2 had GEQ for AUXes as well as the mains. maybe it's just the big bros that have that feature. if it does have GEQ for aux and everything, How do i update to get those features.

unfortunately there are no 31 band eq on the aux's. you can use the fat channel on the aux's. this is somewhat helpful in ringing out monitor feedback. it is not perfect though. the 4 bands on the bigger brothers make this easier, but they do also have the geq's.

i am hoping they figure out a way to add the geq's. but someone from presonus in a live forum said there is no plans to. they said that the processing chip on the 16.0.2 is not as big as the others. this may limit it from major updates. kind of sucks.

i do absolutely love my mixer but will be selling it come june for the new mackie dl1608. i bought the presonus for live gigs to be used with an ipad. the mackie is all ipad. it also has 2 main and 6 aux outs all with geq's. i honestly like using the fat channel on my monitors. it allows me to sweep fast through the frequencys to ring out feedback. i will miss that with the mackie. but due to only having a 3 band eq i do find that it can be a problem with the presonus.

i am going to miss my presonus. but the mackie might fit the bill a little better.

Ok, well I didn't know if it did, I thought it did, but that's my bad i guess. The presonus will serve my needs and what I'm doing currently for many years to come. I've been trying to figure out a way to expand my recording setup, as well as condense some of my live sound gear. I have to try and remain as portable as possible because I'm in the Army. Also, with the StudioLive, I can assign Traktor to play through multiple channels for the cue mix and the main mix. That means I don't have to spend another $599 for the Native Instruments Kontrol S2 for now.

I sent my 16.0.2 back cause it doesn't live up to big brother like they say!!!!!!
it has no daisey chain either like big brother!!!!!
you can how ever daisey chain a small firestudio project and firestudio mobile
that will only give you more record inputs
i found out from a friend today who has emailed mark stone with presonus
they have no plans to add eq to aux nor give it daisey chain to another
i returned my today and friend returned her 16.0.2 as well
i don't know what she is looking at doing but i am looking at the yamaha
i may go back to my hard disk and allen heath mixer with direct outs
til i get something that will live up to what they say it will

i am the friend of john's that emailed mark from presonus and he did say no plans to
update eq or daisey chain either but if anyone is really truely wanting a 16.0.2 cheap
just wait a few months there will be alot of them used back in retail stores
if you go to a few retail store they have 16.4.2 and 24.4.2 on display the only way you can see the 16.0.2
if you ask a sells person then they will go back and get one from the back they don't put 16.0.2 on display

I just didn't know, I was hoping it would but I could live without for now. All I do is small studio work, dj, and small bands. Once I start getting bigger bands, then I'll upgrade to the 16.4.2 or 24.4.2 whichever is better, then my 16.0.2 will permanently be in my studio. but for now, I love my 16.0.2! and have no plans of getting rid of it. It lives up to everything I need a mixer for currently and the very near future.

Thank you everyone for your comments! (However, I still love PreSonus and my mixer

I quite agree that U say on 16.0.2
Too bad that PRESONUS...... Not going to upgrade THE daisey chain function in 16.0.2
they have some others problem on 16.0.2 like it have not separate selector for fx to aux
they have not fat channel on monitor L/R bus
But I am very happy that I have 16.0.2 is really good
GEQ on AUX - it is really not necessary
PEQ 4 BANDS and HIGH PASS It is quite enough just for care monitors ON STAGE
I'll tell you more: Perform a hard preparation Sound on PA i make with PEQ for the first
only for the fine sound i use the QEQ

I am having a very difficult time mixing the monitors with the 16.0.2. I get mid range feedback etc. The mains sound great.....I am using the K-12's for mains and the Behinger B212 both powered speakers....

I would buy some new speakers and not use the Behringer B212 anymore. In my opinion the B212 is not a very balanced speaker frequency-wise and you would do better with a higher quality speaker for monitoring purposes.

Just came across this thread.. same prob no GEQ to AUX.

But an out board 32 bander on the aux quickly solves the problem and it means you can see the setting 24/7

I've been saying this since I had the 1602. No GEQ on auxes. I guess in an attempt to keep sales on the 16.4.2. Also tape/record out. I'm tired of using my monitor out to my tascam recorder. I do street ministry, so staying compact as possible. It would also be great if Presonus could also put a USB recorder on their consoles...and I hope that CAT5 cable to stage boxes is coming soon for all consoles.

PLEASE PRESONUS YOU USED TO BE THE TRENDSETTER. YOU HAVE GREAT TECHNOLOGIES ESP WITH THE AI IN YOUR SPEAKERS & 2X FAT CHANNELS (REVOLUTIONARY), BUT DON'T FORGET THE SMALL PEOPLE. I HATE TO HAVE TO GO THE BEHRINGER WAY. YOUR NAME ALONE CANNOT SAVE YOU BUT STAYING RELEVANT TO THE PEOPLE NEEDS AND GROWING TECHNOLOGIES CAN.

GUYS!!! this is a USER forum! run by users FOR users...

The hardware on the 1602 does NOT allow for the GEQ;s on the auxes... there isn't enough processor left to do that...so scream to the heavens it AIN'T gonna help one iota... sorry
