Hello,
I've seen a lot of threads about this topic, but none of the solutions have worked. My problem is, I'm getting pops and clicks from the 8 DAC outputs of my Digimax FS. I'm pretty sure it's a sync problem. I have it connected to an M-Audio FW1814. I've tried using both as the master and the slave, but that didn't work. The problem persists at all sample rates, and I've always verified that they are on the same sample rate. I'm synchronizing it via ADAT. The only thing I haven't tried is word clock. Do you think a word clock would solve the problem? Or should I try something else?

Thanks

the 1814 should generate a clock signal when it's the master so that shouldn't be it.

I'm really at a loss here as well. You may have a device failure. Might be a good time to get Tech support involved.

Alright, thanks for the response. I sent a message to tech support, and I'll post what they say. Thanks.

Had a similar problem with my Digimax FS and my 2626, couldn't figure out what was going on. Believe it or not it was cured by a reboot, I just shut everything down having re-enabled all of my deferred processes left it all alone for twenty minutes and then started it all back up again, I may have also swapped the firewire card for good measure. I will add that although I swapped the card, the origional works fine and has caused no subsequent issues, so I doubt it was the problem. I'm sure you've tried something to this end, but just in case I thought I'd mention it.

That's interesting. I've tried it on multiple computers (mac and pc), and I still have the problem so it's probably not the firewire card. And I've restarted a lot, and that didn't fix it. But that's interesting, thanks.
