Does anybody here know of any good online resources for DAW mixing tips/practices? I'm finally ready i think to take mixing to a different level than i'm used to. I tend to produce mostly electronic music, but am interested in all genres even remotely close. I plan on getting a book soon regarding the subject, but til then i figured i'd look around online.

thanks-

i've actually found a few helpful resources on the presonus website, but any other suggestions are certainly welcome.

There's a lot of good stuff online but its mostly all in out of context tidbits with not much substance. There are a few good books out there, this one is pretty fresh and a good buffer to the more intense stuff. Has a really heavy focus on Monitoring setups.

What he said!

I am bit partial to Groove 3 videos! Kenny Gioia's "Mixing Rock" is one of my go to resources for mixing tips.

Also, I watch every episode of Pensado's Place. It's a great resource but most of the info is more conceptual than specific.

he's working with Ableton live mainly in the electronic music area, but I've learned so much from him.

You may want to have a look at www.homestudiocorner.com as well. Joe is a great guy, and he covered basic to fairly advanced topics over the last years. He recently is in here sometimes as well ...
