I have a few questions..

when I have samples in the pads of impact, is there anyway I can high light all the pads at once to adjust the tune of it, or do I have to individually adjust each pads.

another question I have, how do you prevent the sounds/samples from overlapping each other when I trigger it?

no, yes / use pitchbend.

change play(back) mode to "one shot mono" (pad contextmenu menu or bottom right) and use (choke-)groups if it is different samples you want to mute each other.

thanks man.. I was actually going to ask if there is any kind of pitch device in S1, which I am pretty sure there is...
I was going to use that method just in-case there wasn't a way to hi-lite all the pads in impact.

I have been using adobe audition for chopping samples.. and I use battery to play out my samples, but I want to try and do it all in s1

thanks

In addition to this I have to give a shout out to my favorite new feature in Impact, which is the setting "note on/off" or something similar, in the same menu. Just remember to set hold to infinity and decay to however long you want the release time to be. With the default hold & decay settings, note on/off won't make a difference.

It is so nice to finally be able to decide how long a drum hit should play without having to convert the track to audio or use muting groups that can't always accomplish what I want.
