I also gotta say this forum community is one of the friendliest and most helpful I've been a part of (Toontrack also has very nice folks, for the record).

I "switched" from Pro Tools to S1 earlier this year, but the release of Pro Tools 9, with it's interface free functionality (finally) has pulled me back in. So now I'll use both.

I think I'm one of the few people that finds S1 a little more confusing than Pro Tools. The workflow in Pro Tools has always just made so much sense to me, and any other DAW, including S1 has been a little painful to fully embrace.

S1 has always been fun though to put together some quick, and very sweet sounding short musical passages with it's VI's. I'll probably still use it for that, and definitely for the Project page, which is something that Pro Tools simply doesn't have at all.

But like the others have said, Welcome! You're in good hands in this place.
