Sure REAPER has a bacon bridge. It sounds like a great idea, and it really does work well if you have it setup correctly and maintain all the additional updates, but I never figured out how to set it up correctly because there were too many options for me. I might have mixed up the sequence of the install, I'm not sure. Either way it fried my entire package of bacon in one hot mess.

The problem is you need to get all of the parts from third party vendors or community members, whoever wrote the part that unpacks the bacon messed it up (I think, though again it could have been my install). I think this process falls within the jesusonic area, but I'm not sure.

Hopefully this could be fixed by now. I was so turned off by this whole process that I gave up on REAPER as my main DAW and jumped on board here and haven't looked back.

I mean seriously, who wants to be resorting to finding fixes for multiple third party processes when you can have one slick frying pan.

If this thing does not make a more than excellent cup of espresso in v.2.6 - I will be going back to Steinberg PRO 24 on my Atari 1024.

I won't be installing unless it's uber, let you suckas beta it for me

It didn't work for me. I got a crash dump from trying to select files in the pool. I uninstalled 2.6 and reinstalled 2.5.2.
It all worked as it did phew. Glad I kept the old download for 2.5.2.

I actually went brave and updated. So far so good here. I had one nasty crash but I'm thinking that was an anomaly. Sorry you had trouble. I can always revert back as well if needed.

I actually have in my attic, A 520ST, A 1040ST, Pro-24, and Some Digidesign Sound Designer Software all boxed and mint! So if you make that move KeldWN, I may too, and we could break out the 1200 baud modems (Mitsu...something) and share songs. Who needs Soundcloud anyhow!

Nobody likes a DAW that does not produce a descent cup of espresso! No excuse for it.

2.6 is working with a Firestudio Mobile on ye Olde Desktop. Will retest the Octa Capture on Laptop and 2.6 again and see if I missed an order of changes in system. Otherwise 2.6 is pretty good. The Fat channel is interesting.

Sorry to hear that. I was just joking around, I installed it first day and it's basically worked.
