Yea, you hit the nail on the head. These are pa speakers not hifi. They go loud and stay robust up there. I find myself EQ ing differently when pushing them at different keeps. They are not perfect, but for the price weight size they are my 1st pick

Out of curiosity, ever compared the 625's to the 635's?

Also, can anyone else recommend some JBL dealers too?

I have not. I wish I OWENS a pair of 635s. They seem like a Swiss Army knife. Those are the o ly ones I have not used. The 625s are beefy and have a smooth freq response at high levels. The horn is better that the 635

QSC are smoother on top. They have less bite because of the plastic driver, which means NO resonance and ring on axis like all other metal drivers. The warranty on JBL/Crown/Harman has been suspect. We have had our customers denied coverage because of changes in power and in the bean counting office. QSC takes care of it's customers and it's dealers. I sell all of it. We have very, very few issues with the Ks, KWs, KLAs.

Why don't you buy from a local dealer that price matches and can take care of you when you have a need? Remember, you have to pay federal taxes on internet purchases now, and shipping is going to be more on a speaker cab than local tax will be in many cases. I can get free freight from the manufacturer and pass the savings on to the customer.

That's what I'm trying to do, unfortunately the nearest dealers are 2 to 3 hours away. There is one large sound company that can get me a deal but he hasn't gotten back to me yet...plus the current offer I have (over 20% off retail) isn't bad...and as for the JBL's, I really would like to avoid them...I'm going to check with NSL, since it is in my home town and it would be a great excuse to see family lol. I guess the PRX's just aren't worth the risk from what it seems. I need something that will last me a long time...you definitely get what you pay for (learned that lesson already with my truck lol)

Yeah, I just realized that...oh well. Looks like I'll just have to figure out how to finance the other deal then lol.

Yeah. That bummed me out, too.

You all are hell bent on those Presonus AI speakers aren't you? Just kidding, but really I'll consider them down the road. Right now I just need a scaleable system that I can use for larger events to generate some income.
