Yep and if Steinberg keeps treating their customers "so unbelievably courteous" we'll see many more of them over here soon

Apart from that I think S1 still lacks a few great Cubase features, but then S1 simply has the superior workflow and much much better usability. I'm sure version 2 will close most gaps feature wise and will attract an even bigger audience.

I totally agree with ya. For me, S1 has just about all the features I need now. All I need is the ability to remap midi notes and maybe a receive midi channel all function (for which I have nice workarounds already).

I know alot of folks want folder tracks but with the consolidate track function and being able to drag into the browser, not sure I'd use them at this point....lol..... But that's just me. I know they are needed for others though.

Steinberg experience (devs) + a far more responsive and user focused Studio One team = a very stable and reliable Studio One.

That is clearly a huge draw. I think some ex Steinberg users want a host without the drama that seems to surround certain Steinberg releases like a cloud.

Spot on sir!!! This is all very true and well said. There was a time over there when it was really professional.

I am mainly an ex-Cubase user, but have wasted a shocking amount of time and money exploring other DAWs. Finally I discovered S1. To keep it short, making music before S1 simply sucked. Workflow is everything for me: NO workflow = No music. I think a new era has kicked off thanks to Presonus.
Windows 7 64-bit
Intel Core i7 920 CPU, 12 GB RAM
RME FireFace 400, NI Audio Kontrol 1
Presonus Studio One 2 v2.6.2 64-bit

My feature wish list:
1. Automation clips
2. Ability to (optionally) undo everything, inc. plugin and mixer knob/fader/buttons, add/remove insert, add/remove plugin, etc...
3. Mixer snapshots
4. Wraparound slide audio items like in Reaper

I'm just new to S1 myself and I love it, but I have to say there are a few very intuitive features in Mixcraft that I'd love to see here...unless I'm missing how to do it.

For example, I could overdub midi but it would create a new clip rather than writing to the existing one. That meant I could I write a phrase, then play over it with a new phrase and easily move the clips individually till I was happy with placement before merging them.

But overall, S1 is way more functional and I'm very happy.
