Congrats also. My wife just finished hers as well, so I know what you had to go through.

As far as topics, I have 2 requests:

1. Side Chain processing, specifically regarding setup.
2. Mid/side processing, again around setup.

Those are two techniques that I understand the uses/applications, but just can't get my head around the nuts and bolts of it. I learn more from observing than I do reading. Probably explains why we aren't congrastulating me on my second master's.

Anything on mastering would be good for me.

I do the best I can and have gotten better over the years but when we paid to send out 12 songs to be mastered by a pro mastering shop, we were stunned at how much better it all sounded. Night and day difference. Embarrassing difference.

International relations with a focus in national security studies, and a second degree in history. I also achieved a minor in "Music Studies" which is sort of a combination of theory, production and appreciation.

My apologies regarding not having the show tonight, we had a rather large storm here and our internet was out for some time. I'm planning on being live tomorrow at 6:30pm CST @:

http://www.livestream.com/bluebeaglemusic

I'll be discussing several topics:

1) Sidechaining
2) "Mastering" (discussion mostly with the DAW up in case folks want to see something)
3) Signal flow in the DAW. I thought this was a particularly good topic because it might help folks out when understanding the DAW.

Caveat...I don't truly consider myself a mastering engineer by trade, the only experience I have with it is with DEMO and independent release projects. I have, however, had several opportunities to talk with, interview, and otherwise "pal around with" some actual dedicated mastering engineers, so I can pass on what I know in that regard.

This should be fun! Looking forward to seeing everyone there

Are the webcasts archived at the same link? I have a session tonite so I can't be on live, and I really want to see the sidechain section.

How long before the archived vid shows up? I missed last night, and was fully planning on wasting my work morning watching it. Imagine my disappointment when I realized I actually had to get some work done.

The only 2 vids I see are from March 2012.

I'll get the vid uploaded today when I get home, the Livestream servers were being extremely slow last night, so the vid seems to have taken longer than normal. I'll post here when it's up and viewable...sorry for the delay, it was out of my control.

I'm looking at doing a follow up show sometime this weekend as well (Sunday?) at an earlier time, hopefully some folks that couldn't make it to this last one might be able to show up to the next one.

Thanks!
