Try a reinstall of both.

You should all be aware that changing the latency by unlocking in the Studio One Audio Settings does not change anything. All latency setting need to be changed in the software app for your interface! ! ! !

Leave Studio One's settings locked and if you need to change latency and are using an Audiobox interface, make those changes only in the VSL software under "Setting".

I created a thread for this http://forumsarchive.presonus.com/posts/list/27137.page

DillonCallaway wrote:SOLUTION (If you are running Windows XP/Vista/7 and having this problem:
Uninstall all Presonus AudioBox USB drivers, whether you downloaded them from the website or the Presonus AudioBox USB setup disc, then unplug then replug your AudioBox USB back into your PC.

It should now show "AudioBox Analog Controller" under "Playback" and "Recording" Devices.

NOTE: This may not be the right fix but it is a quick and stable fix, it worked for me.

Now this begs a follow up question for my own experience... MUST i have the playback device active for it to play back or can I use the speakers attached to my PC. If so that answers why I'm having trouble hearing what I managed to record last night.

Thanks!

Your speakers (the ones you mix with) should be attached to your audiobox and Studio One should play through them 100% of the time.

Then that would explain why I heard nothing. by the by... Do the head phone cut off the speaker output of the AudioBox?

No! They do not shut off the speaker\main outs. The headphones work in combination.

Many people don't understand that when you build a DAW, the interface you use need to be exclusive for all your audio or you can do like I d and use a Presonus Monitor Station, which allows you to plug in your interface and the pc main speaker out and use them simultaneously, as the Monitor Station powers your main speakers.

It's a complex setup for some folks but it helps to just have one big volume knob for everything.

Okay well that means another trip to Radio Shack for plugs and such. I've got a few spare speakers from a home theater system I don't use any more... guess those become my make shift studio speakers...

Oooooh...on other question.. the ticks from the metronome ...do those come though the mains or are they in the headsets or both? Or I suppose neither as the case may be.

You can choose to have the click come out of what ever you need it to. But the setup for that is tricky at first.

Progress report .....

Got the make shift studio speakers hooked up and working great... was able to record in Audacity with no problem and play back though the studio speakers... Mic and instrument inputs work as expected.

No matter what I do I can't seem to get Studio One 2 Artist to record with the same setup. I've reviewed and reviewed but not laying down any tracks so far. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Have you chosen the Audiobox at the main interface in Studio One's Audio Setup page?

If so, you and I should hook up on the phone if possible and through Teamviewer.to really go through this. I'm sure it's a simple issue.
