Too bad this was not included in the new release....version 2.6. Any ideas when they will add the ability to assign tap tempo to a midi event?

I see the last post here was 2012. Does anyone know if there have been any new developments in getting this Tap Tempo Key feature, now or in the forseeable future. Where one can set a tempo by tapping a key, metronone icon or mouse.

Thanks

Thanks, Klypeman: To the right of time sig Is Tempo showing the default 120 BPM to the left of the Tim/Sig is the metronome icon, which one is tapable? And how can I tap this while one track is playing and new track is recording? Taping the metronome button just turns the metronome on and off. Are you talking about the Auto Punch or maybe something in setup?

It's on Tempo itself....Not the numbers but where it says Tempo.
As for the time being there's not yet an option for that other than Tempo.
(You could grow a third arm and hand to hold the mouse)....
