Not getting my hopes up, but i just got a little Goosbump at the thought.

I suspect this means you can select more than one track to edit simultaneously in the (f2) midi editor (like you can with sonar). Just a guess though (and a hope).

Possibly yes. Multi-track MIDI editing perhaps within the existing S1 Editor. It could also be that some form of Inline Track level MIDI editing made it's way into S1 v2. That would be great. Either way it seems like MIDI editing has definitely been enhanced in v2

Yes their is that two, i stumbled across this way of combining the Midi tracks in sonar on one Piano roll Only last week in some tutorials, i only hope if this is the case Presonus Give us independent Colours so we can distinguise beteween the midi tracks lines or maybe a divider line will be present, either way looking forward to seeing how they have worked it, Its looking like V2 is going to be a power house and so soon in its evolution, i can see a wicked future, So Glad i have decided to back this Horse again, I new It!!!!!!!!
I should never have doubted the direction the S1 Developement team where going to go in.
Just imagine being able to have this view in s1, for multiple lanes at the same time, better than the multi lane midi editor, which is more for orchestral arrangent, and bare in mind you cant beat this for drum sequencing also, its a must have view.
Cubase edit in place

sonar inline piano roll

and a few others Daws also have this editing feature.

This is how I currently do over 90% of my work in Sonar:
Live play a scratch piano track (poorly), then open that and divisi tracks (4x 4 1st violins, 3x 4 2nd violins, 6x + 4x Violas, etc, etc) in the piano roll and start building triads / octaves / etc between my other instrument groups via copy/paste or drawing in complimentary notes. Being able to just see the other track notes is paramount in this regard, but being able to create/read/update/delete/copy/paste several track's notes is a blessing.

I couldn't work the way I do without Sonar (for now ). This would be a major pain even with the inline piano roll in Sonar, let alone with a single instrument track in one piano roll in S1. This is why I hope the method I mentioned is an option in v2.

I agree, if this is how Presonus have built it, I hope they have assigned different colors to each track's notes of the editor I am so looking forward to getting all my comps done in a single DAW (S1).

No kidding! I was considering selling my license a couple of months ago. I am sooo glad I didn't Too bad I can't sell Sonar after S1v2 is out

It's awesome marketing if you ask me. There's nothing better than a bit of a scandal to whip up some excitement. Presonus has really stepped up their game in every area. Take the new VSL series for example...awesome....even their product packaging is slick and professional compared to the past boxes (the blue ones).

Kind of funny, if you ask me.

They were not meant to be seen initially, it was an accident, so they were made private. They will probably be public again on the 18th (official announcement day).
