Not sure if the topic is clear enough, but I've got a Firestudio Mobile and Guitar Rig. I'd like to be able to set up my system so that I can plug my guitar into the FSM, bring up Guitar Rig and Skype (or other webcam software) and have the effects in guitar rig be heard on the other end.

I think there may be a way to do this with Universal Control, but I don't think I understand the routing. Or is it not possible?

Thanks!

Have you tried telling windows to use the FSM as the audio source for everything.

The webcam software is going to most likely run from what windows has as the default.

There might be some left and right channel issues to deal with as well. Windows (to the best of my knowledge) only sees stereo pairs and you have two mono sources. It might have your mic in one ear and the guitar in another.

Yeah. I've got the interface set up just fine... Been using it for years. The part I'm trying to figure out is how to route the audio throuh guitar rig and INTO universal control so that any other software like the webcam software will receive the effected signal. I'm putting on an "online concert" and want to be able to use guitar rig to add some effects to my guitar and vocals.

You'll need some sort of virtual patch bay to reroute the the audio inputs. There's nothing getting between the physical input and UC as far as I know.

Mmmmk. Virtual patch bay.

I wish that Universal Control could act as a VST host, kind of like the new VSL software that comes with the Audioboxes (I know they use DSP but same idea). That way you could just insert an effect on a channel in UC.

Anyone with a creative workaround to achieve that would be in my great graces!
