Hi guys! This is my first post but I have to say that I have read many posts and have received outstanding advice through each of you. My question has to do with firewire output.
I am using an iMac with ProPresenter software during worship service for video and audio tracks. I have been using the headphone jack for audio output but thought the firewire would give me better results. I have the firewire hooked up; set the iMac to firewire as audio output; depressed the firewire button on the Presonus but still not able to output. I have been receiving input through the firewire using Capture. What am I missing? Thanks in advance for the help!

Depending on the software used to send audio, it may be trying to use what the Mac is outputting to. You need to go into system preferences and then Sound preferences. make sure it's outputting to Firewire. Also, you may need to go into the "Audio/Midi setup" you can do a spotlight search for that and in there you have output option. You may need to tell it what output to send your signal to. I know some of this is a little vague but that should help you get started.
I have the iMac outputting to the firewire through the sound preferences but didn't try the audiomidi setup. I'll give that a shot and let you know. Thanks very much!
