hey what do you mean track to track recording?

The actual feature is that you can now assign a bus as an input to a track. So you do need to have a bus assigned.

So you can do a real-time recording the output of a bus channel, which is really cool and useful and eliminates the need for an external loopback.

Will you be recording any videos on using 2.5?
Your Groove 3 series has helped me find my feet very quickly

I hope so. I am currently writing a book and getting that finished is taking all my time.

So I now have it and tested it... none of my hoped for features made it, but I discovered:

* Is it just me, or is it less CPU eating?
* Is it just me, or is the midi sync tighter and more stable, especially in cycle mode?

What I don't like is what first sounded good.. the 3 tabs upon "new project".
Before, I could find my template with 1 click, now I need 2 clicks (User first). Maybe make it remember the last choice of tab.

Great but it won't install, tried twice and it failed just after starting the install from within Studio One 2 Pro. I have a 64 bit Windows 7 Po. Any clues? Do a separate download? Now the program won't start up either so it would have to be a separate download now. Will write more later.

I have what seems to be a bug with the S1v2.5 (64) Quicktime video integration.

I have QT installed and can play mp4 videos on PC running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. In S1v2.5 I try to drag a 30 second mp4 onto the timeline and a little video file icon gets stuck dragging across the Browser boundary and S1 locks up. The mouse pointer is a circle with slash and clicking the red X does not shut down S1. Must End Process with Task Manager. This is repeatable after a power down PC start up. Tried different files, same problem. Noticed in Browser when click on mp4 file, I see description of file, name, length, etc. but there is no play arrow to sample video, don't know if there is supposed to be one.

Not seeing that here: Win 7 64 bit
Dragged 2-3 MP4s of various length. It open the video in the video window and imports audio as expected.

Does it work for you in 32 bit?

Don't know about 32 bit, I don't use that.

What changed in S1v2.5 to make video work in 64 bit? QT is still not 64 bit, it is 32 bit. Is S1 now doing some kind of 64/32 bit task management to make 32bit QT run in a 64 bit OS?

I can get video to import into the S1 Video Player but it won't play sound and is super slow to respond to commands, 5 secs to respond.

I think they broke down and wrote what is called a wrapper ( Like Jbridge except for the video driver) that channels it to 32 bit space.
It has bee running smooth ( like 32 bit for me)

Need to drop to the next level of debug.
You get a slow response with a empty test song with just the video dropped it?
The reason I asked about 32 bit was just for a comparison. to see if it is your system or an issue with 32 vs 64 bit on your system
What CPU speed/Graphic card?

Please list a step by step procedure I an will see if I can replicate.

considering the lack of new worthy features this 2.5 should have been called 2.1 after 2.0.7 was the last update.

this isnt a worthy 2.5 and i believe that v3.0 will only be a 2.6

The huge version jump from 2.0.7 to 2.5 wasnt necessary for the few things done..... its only a 2.1 for me
