Hey everyone,

I have a pair of Beyerdynamic DT 770, the 250ohm version, and was wondering if the firestudio mobile acts as a headphone amp? Only recently learnt that 250ohm headphones require amps to be driven properly.

I mean they sound awesome, cant see how it could get much better?

Cheers.
FireStudio Mobile & FireStudio Project » Using 2 active monitors and a Subwoofer with Firestudio Mobile? » Go to message
Hey everyone, just wondering, as it does state the firestudio mobile is a 6 output device is it possible to hook up 2 monitors and a subwoofer? Really wanting that bottom end when mixing.

Cheers.
FireStudio Mobile & FireStudio Project » Firestudio Mobile with Sonar 8.5 Studio, Pops when recording. » Go to message
Hey everyone, I've used dpclat and have my latency in constant green, playback is fine but when i record in sonar i get an occasional pop ruining the sound file... Any suggestions?

Im recording at 96KHz, 16 bit with a 512 buffer...
My CPU usage also rises to around 40% with only 5 vocal tracks with some reverb, eq, compression and delay...
Could Sonar be the problem?

My specs are:
Windows 7 64bit
4gb ddr2 ram
2.4Ghz Intel Quad-core

Cheers.

Any suggestions at all?

Im using a desktop PC, its nearly 3:30am here (Australia) , so off the top of my head it has:

Intel q6600 processor
Gigabyte motherboard
4gb ddr2 ram
Nvidia graphics card

The fire-wire card I'm using I think is Dell, managed to get it second hand as I needed one quick. I followed a few posts on here as i had jumping and distorted playback, and optimized the computer for recording while getting the least amount of latency. I've used dpclat and a couple other tools, the card is compatible with no known errors and am in the green constantly regarding latency on dpclat so I'm pretty sure thats all good!

(BTW, the card uses VIA drivers, I do not have it set on legacy if that makes any difference?)

When using Sonar 8.5 Studio, drivers are set to ASIO. The options on an audio track for the input are:

Left Mic 1
Right Mic 1
Stereo Mic 1

And so on for Line 3, Line 5, Line 7, and SPDIF.

Hope I didn't leave anything out!

Hey everyone, I'm fresh off the boat to recording, i can't manage to get a stereo track in Sonar when recording. I only get the option of Mic 1 and not Mic 2, either Left, Right or Stereo in Mic 1, yet Stereo only records the right side. I've tried looking for posts on this but can't find anything close enough. I'm extremely lost, any help?
