That is genius!
Studio One Feature Requests » Type Values of Automation points » Go to message
I think it would be great to be able to type in the values of automation points especially when it comes to messing with pitch wheel range. It's so frustrating and time consuming to try and do this manually.

Basically something along the lines of right click>Add Automation Point>Enter Value(it'd be awesome if the value could be entered as a percentage too)...

Yeah man I really hope S1 Adds this, For now the only thing close to Ableton's Instrument Rack programmable Macros, is using VSTi's which have built in macros like Massive, or Sytrus... It's so frustrating because S1 is such a great DAW to use and it gets annoying having to use Ableton in order to use the macros...

I think it would be cool to just be able to duplicate whole tracks including the instrument, vsts and everything else. Especially between different song files

Perhaps just link the songs in the project page? And go through them?

I really really really! Hope S1 puts this in their next update It would make my life 10x easier, I would never again use ableton!

Thanks guys,
So I don't know what was happening the day I needed to export the song :/ it honestly didn't come up so good, and it was for a competition deadline, hence, my frustration. I exported it again and it sounded perfectly yesterday...

OKay Thank you here is what I am doing
1)export the file
2)Create new track where I drag in the file I exported
3)drag into the new track the mixtool and use the preset invert phase?
*I do this all while having no effects on the main bus

When I do this though the whole sound just gets distorted and I start clipping?

Edit: OKay so I just did this with a song I downloaded from the internet and yes this worked. I heard no noise.

So since my export didn't cancel the actual song in S1 it's not the same? Any reason why this would be?

Perhaps you are just running low on CPU?
My S1 starts acting up like that when I am running low...

Try closing the file you have open and opening up a fresh project page and hit play. See if everything is fine

Hello guys so here is what I did:
I recorded straight from my studiolive output into Audacity and hit play in Studio One. (The Studio One signal was being sent through firewire into the mixer)
I got a perfect match of what was inside studio one.(Of course)

Then I exported the track from the Project page in Studio One and changed up the routing of the cables. What I did was connect the output of my computer to the tape in of the mixer, and the output of the mixer being connected into my monitors.

Either way I used Audacity's Stereo Mix to record all system sounds: I just opened up the export in quicktime and hit play.
It sounded perfectly as in the Project page in Studio One.

So yes, both the export and the mix inside studio one sound exactly the same.

I still don't know why the day I needed to export my track(when this forum started) it sounded so awful?
I didn't do anything different yesterday... And I got a perfect match. You can definitely hear the difference!

Also I read on one of the forums about this something about flipping the polarity of the export using the mixtool to check if they're the same? Can someone explain to me what this means please?

Thanks

Yeah, I don't really know, my mixer's gain reduction got stuck a few months back and I believe it had to do with over heating. It sometimes gets so hot that I can't even put my hand on it anymore(At the bottom), at which point I proceed to turn it off...

One thing I did find when checking the my sound settings is that I had a loudness setting?
I just took it off, it didn't do much.

I'm going to use Audacity to record straight out of the project file using stereo mix.
I'll also do the same by just playing it through quicktime and WMP.

After that I'll look at the recordings with a spectrum meter to see if everything matches...

I'm running a few tests to see what's wrong today, I'll have the results in tonight.
Studio One General Discussion » Mixing Kick and Bass in this style? » Go to message
Hello Guys,
I was wondering if someone could give me a tip on how I should mix a bass and kick that both play at the same time most of the time. Kinda like they do in this song

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUsoVlDFqZg

I find that using a sidechain compressor with the kick signal into the bass isn't a good idea because I can barely hear the bass right after and if I turn it up it defeats the purpose of the sidechain?

Any suggestions?
Studio One Forum Community Support » Why does my mix sound like S#@&* after exporting a mixdown? » Go to message
OMG why has no one resolved this problem! This is insane. What is the point of using S1 if exporting **** up the whole thing.
