Hi, I thought we needed a thread about rumours (new products, new features, next release, the guys making the software - you name it) so I now start this thread.
Sorry I don't have any rumours to contribute with but I will read this thread with big interrest!
I agree, the main thing which holds me back from loving Studio One is it's looks. It's gotten much, much better than version 1, and Capture looks even better, but still i don't think it's a masterpiece of design.
And by that i don't mean Bling, bling, probably the opposite is what i would like. Asit is now, the Gui doesnt look all that modern.
If i would do a sketch on what i would like, would the presonus guys look into it, you think, or would i just waste my time?
My brother is a computer wiz, and from what i've learned from him i say go for PC if you want maximum bang for buck, and Mac if you wanna pay more for the same specs.

Presonus should hire an outside design firm if need be, but anybody with any experience in design or professional aesthetic-based work can see this. The clip colors, the arrange window background, the overwhelming monochromatic scheme, etc. - really makes this program feel uninspiring and dated.
Look at Pro Tools 10 if you want to see a color scheme that really truly works well.
I was thrilled at first, when v2 came out looking much better than v1, but as time has gone, i have come back to the feeling that i still dont think its good looking. For example, why not the stylish black here on the forum, instead of that dark blue? Yeah, the type of blue is my biggest concern. And i also think its to dark.
For me i like more earthy color palettes. Abletons, Cubase (especially v5) etc, interface color schemes are much prettier to me.
Yeah, what can i say more than i would like to think my DAW was pretty to look at. And i still think it has a bit to go, to get there. Although v2 was really at step in the right direction.
As far as i know, the reason that there is a crack of Studio One 2, the latest edition, is that not much have changed in the security from version 1 to version 2. They use the old crack from version 1, somehow, and combine it with a crack from some other group for version 2, and then a patch from some other guy, who made the older cracks working for the latest edition.
Sorry i don't understand these crack things, but i have read alot about the crack of Studio One 2, from the guy who made the patch for the latest version.
He seems rather nice though, he encourages everyone to buy Studio One if they end up using it, and praises Studio One as a revoultionary DAW that really deserves beeing supported.
Yeah yeah, what i wanted to say was that i don't think it would take much from Presonus to do some change so they can't use the latest version. But maybe they feel it is good advertisment for the time beeing, beeing spread illegally before they are as big as the other DAWS.
Business wise maybe it is only good to build up a big big user base right now, when they are newcommers and there are many more welknown DAWS.
