Studio One General Discussion » not happy: Layers move with events in 2.6 » Go to message
Pardon my English but freakin fack!!!!

Thank you. I guess in v2.6 it is just auto enabled. I'm very happy now.
Thanks again

Thanks for the reply. To clarify, these are audio events. I think copy and paste moves the layers as well. In V2.5 the layers always stayed put.

I am not happy with the new feature in S1V2.6 that has the layers moving with events. I always thought this was one of Logic's weakest features and nowPresonus has implemented it???? When I edit an event, I want all layers to stay exactly where I recorded them. Otherwise S1 becomes a huge f'n mess just like logic.

If some users disagree, let's agree it should be an option. If it is an option, will somebody please enlighten me?
StudioLive General Discussion » best way to connect two SLs for side by side FOH and monitor mixing » Go to message
The best way is to purchase a split. I bought a high quality transformer isolate Whirlwind 24 channel split with 25' ends to run to the main snake and the monitor console. Works perfectly

For me it's hard to go wrong with the jbl prx600 and the same will probably go for the 700s. They need some parametric love, but I am assuming everyone in this room has the same tools I do in the SL24.

I move around quite a lot. I think it's just an old stigma.

We use multiple rolls units with my band. I also keep a rolls amp in my tour kit for drummers. There's entry of volume and clarity. I so much prefer wired to wireless that I don't think I can ever go wireless. Too much noise and not enough dynamic range.

but the ship i jump to looks more like Pro-2 to me. I just dont like the limits and work arounds with the snake's.

The midas and sl32 are two completley different beasts...

I'd understand choosing between pro2c vs pro2 or even mayby x32 vs pro2, but a sl32 vs pro2?! Isn't that like comparing apples and bacon...

Um, both are used to mix audio signals

Live Sound » SL 24.4.2 select button operatio is a nuisance when mixing live FOH » Go to message
Well stated! I have used one of my SL24s as a FOH console in many major venues alongside Midas Pros, Yamaha CLs and PM5Ds, DigiCo, and Avid consoles and not once did I wish I was mixing on those other consoles. As a touring console there are features on the SL that I would not want to live without that are either nonexistent or too time consuming on the other platforms. I won't complain, however, if I am mixing on those other consoles, especially the pro2.

sorry to say it, but all digital mixers work this way. Not having a select button is a thing from the past
StudioLive General Discussion » Dual 24:4:2 record/live audio setup » Go to message
It's actually just 24 x 2. For a major live record recording, I think it's important to have a backup. For casual archiving one console will do. I'm on the road with Jrff Bridges now recording all sound checks, rehearsals, and shows
