There must be something else going on here because it doesn't seem to get the signal it should have. There is no problem with recorded music and the speakers are Mackie 650sl powered, so that shouldn't be the issue either. I'll keep trying.Thx

The 2 mics that we have tried are an AKG d112 and an Audix d6. We have tried them right in front of the hole and also inside the kick drum in various places. This is seems to be happening. The frequency seems to be really low. It clips if I put the trim much more than 1/3. The drums require way more volume than the other instruments, just to be able to hear the bass kick through the speakers. Once we have it where we can hear it, we have to change all the setting to get rid of the resonation. It really has no bassy sound either. I am going to try it through a powered board to see if it makes a difference.

I need a bit of help. We have a mic on our bass kick drum, and I can't seem to get the setting through the board right. We have tried different mics with no luck. I am using the templates from the board, but even after fine tuning the settings, there isn't a deep bass sound , like a kick should have. Its more of an echo/resonating sound. Maybe I am missing something?

I need some help. After reading the similar problems on the forum from other owners of the board, I realize that the problems that I have had recently with the board are common with many others. This is what happens. There is a snap, and the sound dies. The board is still lit, but the sub meters are fully lit as well as the GR meter. When I turned it off and then on, sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. I see on the forums that there were no posts from 2013/14, and that most of the problems were from 2011/12. Did they find the problem? Some said it was bad soldering, and others said that the DSP board and sometimes the fire wire boards had to be replaced. Any help with this would be appreciated.
