Here is a diagram of how this works in Ableton
Studio One Feature Requests » Macro Controls which are also automatable » Go to message
Yeah I also made a feature request about this recently without realizing there was this one.... Anyways this might help.

Here is how macros work in Ableton.
Studio One General Discussion » Studio One altering files BY ITSELF! PROBLEM! » Go to message
Okay so I have been using Studio One since well forever, and have recently gotten into EDM which literally uses dozens of midi tracks. This is the second time that when I save and open studio one... Half the F**** files are either changed to earlier versions or just completely gone. I check the auto-save and even the files that got auto-saved are the same. I know it's not something I am doing because the tracks get completely messed up where it could not possibly be a mistake....

I have to now restart repunching the midi which hopefully I will remember.

Seriously guys...
This is just ridiculous

Also the button for creating a bus along with a folder at the same time sounds like a great idea!

Another addition which I have shared before, which I believe should get more attention is having macro controls that can control multiple parameters. Here is a picture of how this works in Ableton Live.

I think Presonus should implement this into Studio One because it makes producing any type of music with Virtual instruments a heck of a lot easier.

I honestly thought of switching to Ableton, but it doesn't stand a chance against Studio One.

If only Studio One had this, it would be the best DAW out there. Atleast in my opinion

Yeah. Surely it's not Presonus's fault that Ableton's vsts get disabled when it hosts it as a slave...

Yeah guys, the reason I complain about rewiring ableton as a slave into S1 is because once I rewire, all 3rd party vsts inside Ableton get disabled :/ It kinda ruins the whole point of using ableton for me because I mostly produce using 3rd party vsts....

Anyways I'm just exporting and importing back and forth for now. Let's just hope Presonus sees this and decides to add this feature. It would certainly bring on a hefty amount of EDM producers to S1.

Okay.... So I learned how to use ableton over the last couple of days. Besides the macro controls. Everything in S1 beats it by 1000x.... Damn please Presonus add this feature it would make my life and that of hundreds of other producers 100x easier! PLEASE.

Honestly I don't see S1 getting 3rd party synths added on. The best thing right now would be to intergrate ableton's macro control instrument rack feature. It allows you to automate multiple parameters at the same time and setting limits on the amount automated on each parameter it is crucial to EDM producers. Even Logic created their own version of it....

Hey dear Presonus, I realized I didn't really title my post properly so....
here is a repost:

I have found myself stunned by the lack of this one feature(found in Ableton Live) inside studio one. I think it is a must have for every electronic music producer. This feature is of-course the Instrument Rack Macro section. It allows you to control multiple parameters inside vst's all in one knob. It also allows you to put a maximum on the amount of the parameter modified.

For example say I want one knob to control both a filter cuttoff and an oscillator volume. I can drag the parameters into the macro, setup the maximum. And voila. I can automate the macro I created to control both the filter cuttoff and oscillator volume at the same time.

This is crucial for EDM producers especially those who use the Native Instruments FM8 synth. In ableton one can make the volume of say 5 oscillators be controlled by one macro and effectively get a bass line to "talk"

Now some of you may say: "Just use Massive. It comes with a built in macro system"... The problem with this is that Massive only has the 3 oscillators and a very limited way to control them.... Those who use the FM8 would understand.

Also I figured I would rewire Ableton into Studioone, and this totally didn't work because ableton's 3rd party plugins get disabled when in slave mode.... Thus, having no point in using rewire.

Anyways... I beg you Presonus staff.. Can you please! add this to the next update. I am honestly considering going over to ableton just because of this feature...
Thanks a lot for reading.

Yeah man, It really sucks. I just don't understand why Presonus would charge everyone to fix a problem they started to begin with. Clearly, there was a problem with the boards when they were manufacturing them. Why should I have to pay for something they messed up. It's ridiculous. It should be clear to everyone on these forums that these boards are not reliable for live use.

Update, the mixer started working again but I think it has something to do with it heating too quickly. At the bottom of it to the left it feels really hot within maybe 15 mins of plugging in. I don't know why this is. Also When I use it with StudioOne it often crashes Idk why...
