Nope.

You kill me, what is it then?

Sorry, I thought some users before me offered enough reasonable alternative definitions and wanted to save time ...

Free instruments, free samples, free loops, free Melodyne Essential, provide a free service (The Exchange) where you can go get even more free stuff. I myself uploaded a couple of Creative Commons sound fx package soundsets because I wanted to share some good free stuff with people who'd been sharing their good free stuff. Other people have uploaded free drum samples and all kinds of free stuff. They made all that "free stuff" easily possible.... giving us a website and a free tool to pack up our free stuff to share with other people.

There was a long period there .... "Freebie Friday's" ..... where we got more free stuff almost every Friday, like the german mono synth. Then along came the free SoftTube plug. Some of the people there have even created free stuff for us to use and uploaded it, like Rodney's Impact kits. Some users have created great soudsets like MHak's kick drums and the other guys Bass lines, great free stuff.

Not to mention that the company has only ever charged for major version updates, not ever the x.5's where we always get more free stuff.

But ... (???) ... they decide to sell - two little measly and maybe slightly inconsequential or completely irrelevant to many and completely optional - $30 packages and they're making a money grab?

With all due respect and no malice or bad feelings attached to it on my part, we'll just have to agree to disagree on that.

Well said.

Wait, are we back on topic yet at all?

wdkbeats wrote:Guys, what happened to the explorer window that used to open after mixdown? How can I turn that feature back on?

It does still here. AFAIK this feature is not switchable. Maybe it opens in background?

it does.

Yeah, the concept of music tracks versus audio tracks might not be everybody's favorite - but I hate when people don't even try to understand it and call it a bug after all those years ...

All I can say is it would be great if people kinda took a step back and realized NOTHING is the end of the world here. It's not like they announced they are going to ilok or something.

I agree.

That said, going iLok doesn't trigger the end of the world either (I know for sure, I have one) ...

It does here, you know.

Just saying, everything is relative ...

Me too. It's a hassle to run another app just to play hangman.

I positively remember at least two VST games.

That was fun (kind of).

Not sure they are still around, though, so obviously it's MANDATORY for S1v3 to have some!

Forgot to say, it's connected to USB2 (not USB3) here, of course!

Hi and welcome!

I suppose the sound comes from your keyboard (and not from a software instrument). In this case, it is a matter of hardware - I'd say just turn your keyboard up (or the amplification system into which it's plugged).

Since you asked here ... ( )

No ADAT nor iPad in use.

Other than that, it's working flawlessly here (as you may have known already).

detachment wrote:(...) and if Presonus wants more talented producers of EDM to use S1, than they should work on it. Otherwise, S1 will die, eventually...

Exactly. Because EDM is the only music that will remain, eventually.
