Hi Gadgetguitar,

You should use the monitor outputs as an alternate headphone mix. These outputs mirror the mains but allow you to free up channels 1 & 2 on the board. You should be able to route this in the Pro Tools I/O section.

Hi John, is it possible you could make available to those of us involved in this thread- either as a general download or a personal email- the new driver you've been working on as a BETA test? That means I'm happy to accept the responsibilty for trying it- any adverse effects from installing it. Basically, after all the trouble I've been through (and a few of the others here) I'll suggest that if the new driver solves the problem for me- it solves the problem!

Apologies for the double post. The drivers I mentioned before should be released soon. As of now I can't give an exact time or date when they'll be released. However I think this issue is not driver related but it may depend on what version of Pro Tools you're running. Please be sure you've installed version 9.0.3 or higher. Before, I was running the first version of 9.0.0 but once I installed the newer version everything worked fine. I even confirmed this with the guys in Tech Support. Hope this helps.

I don't think using 64 bit or 32 bit has anything to do with it however I'm using a different driver than the latest one posted on our site. Later today I'll switch back to that driver and see if I am still able to open Pro Tools with the Tube. One of our guys in tech support was unable to open Pro Tools as well so this issue may be solved with the updated driver that we'll release in a few weeks. Hi everyone,

I just updated to PT 9.0.2 and connected the FireStudio Tube with Windows 7 64 bit right clicked on "open as administrator" and it is now recognizing the interface. I'm not sure what caused the confusion between the interface and software but it seems to be working now. Please be sure to update to PT 9.0.2 or later. I'll continue to look into this if the problem persist.

Once you upgrade from Artist to Pro all of your files should appear in the same Studio One folder that they are saved to. Nothing will be deleted. You will receive a new product key to use immediately once you purchase the upgrade and the additional discs will be mailed to you. Hope this clears things up. Hi Guys,

I've confirmed this issue and there seems to be a problem with ProTools 9 + FS Tube + Windows 7. It does however work with Mac OSX. I've consulted our test lead and we're working on a fix for this. I apologize for the inconvenience. I'll keep you guys updated.

Also please note that the latest drivers for the FS Mobile are available for download from the PreSonus website here: http://www.presonus.com/technical-support/downloads/drivers-software/

Make sure that your Mac recognizes the interface through the audio/midi setup application. For more information on this check out the technical support section of our website.

I doubt if this is a driver issue at this point however anything is possible. I suggest holding onto you unit for now. I'm going to send the FS Mobile that I have to the shop and see if this fixes the problem. I'd hate for you guys to be without your interface only to get it back and it does the same thing. I'll be sure to let you all know the results as soon as I get the unit back from repairs. Thanks for your patience and again I apologize for any inconvenience.

No problem,

Just a temporary fix (for those who haven't already) you can mute the S/PDIF channels from the Universal Control mixer if you don't need those channels. Be sure to mute the channels from all outputs e.g. Main, Phones, SPDIF. Hope this helps. I'll keep working on this.

This unfortunately is not possible. The FireStudio family interfaces and the FireBox use two different drivers and cannot be used together on the same system.

Hi Brian Albers,

Does the FireBox still work on your previous MacBook? Try downloading and installing the drivers to a PC (if there's one available). Go through the instructions for PC installation and see if the FireBox will sync. If you can't get the unit to sync to any computer you should contact our tech support department and they can troubleshoot with you further.
