Honestly, this interface looks much more like a toy for ipad than some real PRO audio software. S1 is best, really!

BUT I need to confess. All MIDI tools are amazing and its all the S1 misses...

There's nothing new besides a new darker and confusing interface that makes Logic looks like Garage Band. They are focousing mobile devices, not pro studios...

Now they just got AMAZING 64bit float recording too and created new standard industry software, instantly..

This is exatcly the kinda of partnership PreSonus should do. Like Ableton did with Cytomic guys to develop new Ableton 9 Eq and Compressor, The Glue.

Awesome native plugins!

Image-Line just posted in theur channel this AWESOME "Digital Show & Tell'" video by Monty of Xiph.org, explaining about Digital Audio. It's really worth of watching and pretty well done video. It has everything to do about Audio Myths and DAW engine war's. Have fun!

EDIT: More videos come here: http://xiph.org/video/ (including videos to download for free and with subtitles in different languages for better understanding).

This guy is amazing, he deserves some support via donation.

Janusz

Very nice freebie, thanks for the heads-up!

There is a new 2.0 version that they are working on. Its in beta 5 currently and I guess its almost ready to be an official release. If you guys want to test the beta 5 version of this amazing freebie compressor (the best IMO) go to their website and download it:

I totally disagree on this. Studio One GUI is one of the best out there. It only needs some contrast implementation and some options to change the colour scheme maybe. Besides this, I can work with S1 for 10 hours straight without getting tired.

Really clean interface, easy on eyes and looks professional and not like a toy...

Guys, enter in AppData folder (to do this go to start MENU and type %AppData% in search box).

In AppData there is a PreSonus folder. Inside PreSonus folder, check the last date the WindowState file has been updated.

Every time you close S1, the program saves and modifies almost every file of this folder. Check if the WindowState file has been updated to last date you closed StudioOne.

This file corresponds to the Screen Size in Studio One.
