Hmm might have traced the issue back to a local firewall/proxy server issue.
Strange however that some will download through the firewall whereas others might not. Not logical really!
Anyway..
I tried again and they failed so I ran a cable bypassing the firewall/proxy server and went straight out via the DSL router (which also has a firewall but probably not so strong) and the soundsets seem to be downloading fine.
So I guess the issue is solved. More or less anyway. Just interesting that some will download through the firewall and others won't. Wonder what the difference is?
There is stacks of space on the drives where soundsets are stored. In fact I don't have a drive with under 100GB available and most are way above that.
And yes a few downloaded/installed but most didn't.
I tried a few times but will try again today and se what happens. Maybe there was some weird internet glitches happening.
After watching the Exchange Webcast I decided to have a play and check it out.. Great ideas BTW>
Anyway.. Some parts of the service don't seem to work for me.
I will attach a screenshot of the issue.
But basically if I try to download (or more correctly Install) a Soundset from the list showing in Exchange they all fail. However, for example, presets seem to download just fine.
I have S2 pro and my update cost me zero - it was not a full version update it was just a service pack so should be free..
I think you need to ring Presonus Support and chat with them..
BTW>> did you update using the inbuilt Update utility or did you go online and download the pack? Wonder if that makes a difference?

ps : all working Fine with my cubase 6 x32 x64 ..
thx or your help..

I assume you are running windows version.. Have you updated both or just one?
LAGinz wrote:Reminder to those using 32 and 64 bit versions of V2---need to update both. No biggie
Obviously for Windows as V2 for MAC OSX they are the same.. There is no separate application.
The only difference on OSX is a tick box (tick for 32 bit mode) in the "Get Info" screen of the application.
I have uninstalled Reaper and Jack and see how it goes.
Just finished a project in Logic that I was hoping to do in Studio One.. Logic performed 100% as normal. Project finished awaiting the client feedback.
Presonus Tech Support have provided me with a process to try and fix my crash issue..
Really pleased with their responsiveness.. BIG 3 THUMBS UP up to Presonus guy's.
Today will follow their instructions and if the issue gets solved (or not) I will report back.
Well I have never lost much work from S1 crashes except the last maybe 5 or 10 minutes of stuff.. But I lost patience
Logic has only ever crashed on me twice in lord knows how man years so I am satisfied with that. And don't talk to me abut PT crashing.. But I have given away using that. Was hoping Logic and S1 would be my stable (SIC. typo on purpose) diet of DAW but until S1 settles down might have to stick with the old grey mare!!
Mind you Logic Studio is no longer, according to reports they have withdrawn the product and are loading all the Logic stuff they want to sell into the App Store.. So I expect to see Logic X any day .. Just like what they did to Final Cut Pro. Hope they don't screw over pro Logic users up like they did seem to Final Cut Pro users !
That is why I want a backup DAW that works and is good. S1 held or holds so much promise!!
Hope Presonus sort out all the issues and make S1 rock solid! Then I will be a happy camper!!
Yep PT10 Clip Gain feature is nice. And yep there may be additional improvement that the clever folks at Presonus can add but I would be happy with something similar.
Your Guess is as good as mine. Jackrouter has been running on the machine for a while so if it is that then i would not know..
It is used by Reaper. I might dump it and see as I almost never use Reaper anymore. Never have To be honest.
I have to say i am very happy with studio one and the overall product directions & concept but, sadly, working with it crashing as frequently as it has just screws up my workflow so I have little choice but to use other "more stable" products until Studio One becomes a rock solid racehorse.
I will continue to use it but only on unimportant work or work with less pressure on schedules where I can live with crashes.
In the meantime I will stick with Logic as the workhorse in my stable
Hmm is there a Pun in there somewhere?
Steve
BTW My crashes seem to occur mostly when bend editing and I think it is because I work to fast and Studio One cant keep up with the wave form refreshing and "bending" that I am doing...

Got Studio One 2, done a completely clean install and similar issues still occur.
However I also have real stability issues. Have logged a Tech Support ticket for it and also raised a Forum thread to discuss it..
It is just crashing way way to frequently like more that 10 times a day.. Right now I am using Logic for a project as S1v2.02 is simply not working for me.
As always on computers it is the mix of things together than can cause issue. And not always just the things directly related to the application being run. Although with todays virtual machine technology apps really shouldn't upset each other.
But on m issue it was a clean Studio One v2.02 install (not an update) with only really the Presonus provided additional sounds sets and files except to Melodyne v2 (The new version) And so far I was just using Studio One and the audio tracks no instruments etc..
But then I do use a Mac with Lion and also have things like M-Audio Axom Pro keyboard etc. Bit nothing much else.
It all seemed fine on v2.01 except for a few minor irritations but rarely a crash. But when I did a clean install all turned to custard.
Ah well I am sure the support techs will work it out... <Fingers Crossed>
