For classical music it's imperative to have greater/exacting control of crossfades. In my opinion, having more control would be beneficial to many, not just classical engineers.
I would love to see a crossfade editor window with similar options to what Sequoia and Reaper currently have. This window would include all the options and settings necessary in order to make extremely detailed/exacting tweaks to crossfades.
1. Make sure your Audiobox is selected as your audio device in the menu Studio One>Options>Audio Setup
2. Press the "T" button on your keyboard and a menu will pop up asking what type of track you want to add. Make sure the "type" is set to audio, the "format" to stereo and the input set as "Input L+R". Click ok and your stereo track should have been made.
3. Arm the track and press record. It should be recording as a stereo track.
If you look at the track that was created just below the arm/monitor buttons, you should see an infinity symbol. The infinity symbol means that it is a stereo track. If you click the infinity symbol it will become a single circle, which means that it is now a mono track (1 input).
1. I noticed that Studio One is showing my VSL22 as a standard Audiobox (in the device selection list), but when I uninstall the VSL software, Studio One then recognizes my VSL22 as it should - a VSL22. I have the proper drivers and vsl software installed. How do I fix this so that Studio One recognizes my vsl22 as a vsl22 when I have the vsl software installed?
2. When I select the vsl22 as my device in studio one, I am always prompted that the "audiobox has failed to start correctly before, are you sure to want to continue...." I always plug in my vsl22 BEFORE starting Studio One. How do I avoid this prompt every time I want to use the vsl22?
Yep, that's all I had to do and now the sound is only coming out of the AB. At some point I must have changed my windows audio settings. Thank you very much for the help!
Thanks for the quick reply, however, that's not what's wrong here. For some reason I'm still getting audio playing outside of Studio One, for example if I was watching a video on youtube, I could hear the video's sound out of my laptop speakers, and I do NOT have the "release audio in background" checked.
How do I set the audio settings so that Studio One takes complete control of the audio drivers? When I start up Studio One I still have outside sound in Windows. I don't remember it doing this before, unless I haven't really noticed, but I could have sworn a week ago that once I started up Studio One, all outside sound in Windows was cut off (which is what I want Studio One to do), which is what I want to happen...
How do I go about doing this?
*Edit: This is happening while using the ABvsl's headphone jack. I'm getting sound out of the headphones as I should, but sound is also coming out of my laptop at the same time. How do I change this to have the sound come out of Studio One/AB headphones?
I should have phrased my question differently, sorry. Can the soundset builder extension unpack a soundset into individual wav files so i can customize the soundset, then repack it?
