Can you give us a bit more info? Are you running 32 bit or 64 bit? Can you post a screen shot of the I/O setup in Pro Tools? Do you get audio from the outputs of the DigiMax's? How do you have Universal Control setup? Give us as much info as you can.
That's a pretty intense midi rig. Are all the keyboards and modules running through the same midi chain? Or do you have a set of modules running to the RD and the others running to the D50? Just trying to get a better understanding of how you're running things. If you want to decrease the latency of the AudioBox try decreasing your sample rate. This is usually in the audio setup section of your DAW.

Please Note: Universal Control version 1.5.2 does not support the following products or
operating system(s):
• FireStudio [26x26]
• StudioLive 16.4.2 firmware version 1.12 or earlier
• OSX 10.5 Leopard and earlier
• PowerPC based Macs
There's no pin-out of the DB9 available however if you need a replacement breakout cable for the FS Tube contact out tech support and they'll get one shipped to you free of charge. Make sure you register the interface first.
I use Kontakt 5 with Alicia's Keys and other VI's with the FS Tube and AudioBox. I haven't had any problems with either interface however you should make sure that your computer can handle your plugin's. I run a 2011 15" MacBook Pro i7 quad core processor with 4 gigs of RAM. I'm not saying run out and buy a Mac but be sure your computer can handle the processing.
If you decide to get Alicia's Keys I'm sure you will enjoy it as much as I have.
Please uninstall your drivers once more but this time:
1) Right-click on the Finder
2) From the pop-up window select Go To Folder
3) Paste in this string: /private/var/db/receipts
4) In the folder that opens, find the files that have UniversalControl in the label and move those to the trash.
Once this is complete reinstall the beta drivers once more and update your firmware in the settings menu from the smaller Universal Control launch window.
If Audio/Midi Setup doesn't recognize the FireStudio as a midi device (ghost device icon) you'll need to uninstall/reinstall your drivers. Apparently the midi drivers for the FireStudio have not installed properly. Check out this link below for more info.
More than likely Skype will take the Main outputs of the AudioBox as its feed.
Hope this helps.
More then likely? This is exactly what the OP is asking about. This is something that would have to be designed into the driver/VSL. If this is an available feature it should be advertised, I would think
jjones,
If you could read my above post and verify that this could be all done internally with the new audiobox vsl's that would be exciting not to have to use two cards for this kind of setup!!!!
Hi Markemark and others,
I must first apologize and say that I am incorrect. The AB interfaces will not loopback audio from a daw to a third party app such as Skype. I totally misunderstood the OP and tested this myself with no success. As stated earlier you could route the audio from your DAW from the DAW channels 1-2, 3-4 etc and send them to the inputs of the AB 22, 44, 1818 VSL. Again sorry for getting your hopes up but I will make mention of this feature to the appropriate parties and let them know that of this as a high priority feature request.
Yes, this is possible with the AB 22 as well as the AB 44 and 1818. The difference being you'll have more DAW outputs with the latter two. The AudioBox VSL will give you separate control of your inputs as well as the audio coming from your DAW. More than likely Skype will take the Main outputs of the AudioBox as its feed.
