I want a receipt so that I can take a look at who sold you the unit. I am concerned that you may have been taken advantage of from the store selling you the unit as they did for the price that they did.. So it does matter. I may be able to help you out more than you know. If you could dig up the receipt for me and send me a copy to take a look at it would be much appreciated.

When you say devices, you mean what exactly? Printers, HD's, cameras?

Are you going FW800 to FW400? If so, are you using a Bilingual Cable?

Can you tell me where you purchased your unit? How much did you pay? Can I get a copy of a receipt?

We need to stick with one type of computer for the moment.. A Mac or PC.

Your Dell most likely has an incompatible FW card, unless you have already been down this road and changed out the card.

Let me do some digging and I will get back with you ASAP.

On a Mac you do not need drivers. I would however perform a PRAM reset and repair disk permissions on your Mac and see how it reacts after you reboot your PC.

Dear Sir,

We have been in the middle of changing over our phone, sorry for any inconvenience in getting in contact with us as we are installing the new phone system in order to better serve our customers. Some immediate staffing changes have also taken place.

If you would be kind enough to provide me with your previous RA numbers, full name, and email address that you provide for the repair (in a PM); I would be more than happy to take a look into this on your behalf.

Standard repair procedures dictate that we update your firmware on your unit, so you may need to remove the old driver and download and install the FP10 driver as the firmware would have upgraded your unit to an FP10 internally. This alone would and could cause the issue that you are experiencing.

Just to be clear here:

This was never the case.

What really happened is that I removed your v2 key (per your request so you could sell it), and reissued you a key for v2; and emailed all the information to you on:

We were in no way trying to take software away from you. I removed your V2 at your request and re-issued you a new key to give to your buyer.


I have all records of the emails back and forth as you and I were dealing with each other directly, until you decided to take it to the forums.

I am the one actually dealing with you sir.

If you take the time to read your emails between us I went ahead and removed your S1V2 and REISSUED a new S1V2 key so that you can sell it or give it away as you have requested. NO ONE TOOK ANYTHING AWAY FROM YOU at all.

As far as the NFR, You DO indeed have NFR listed in your account for S1v1. I have told you several times to simply take the time to look at your own account to verify and I have even copied and pasted part of your software registration into a couple of emails to actually show you without you having to take the time to see that YES in fact you do have an NFR copy of S1v1 in your account. Until, the origins of your NFR (NOT FOR RETAIL/RESALE) copy can be proven we cannot move further with this. We have reset and reissued you a new key for your S1v2.

If you go into Universal Control and click the "Settings" drop down you will have an Option to select the WDM setup. Within this setup you can change the output of the Unit by altering the WDM1 and WDM2 to the 25/26. This should get you to where you want to go.
