Studio One General Discussion » Problem with VST-instruments following new tempo » Go to message
FYI: Everyone experiencing this issue should make sure that they have updated Studio One to the latest version which is 2.0.6.

To update simply go to the "Help" menu in Studio One 2 and choose "Check for updates".

@Klagga what is also helpful to the dev team is to make a list of steps to duplicate this issue. Be detailed in your steps and indicate what VST you are using. In this way we can follow your actions to duplicate. So far everything is working as it should for me. Please list your computer specs as well.

Here's a simple template you can use:

System Specs:
Computer platform: (Mac/PC)
OS Version (example. Mac 10.7.4 or Windows 7 64bit)
Studio One Version: (example: 2.0.6 or 1.6.5)
Other helpful info:
Amount of RAM, Audio or Midi Interface, Plugins you are using and anything else you deem important.

Description: (simple description of issue)

Steps to Duplicate: (list the steps that lead up to the bug/error)
1.)
2.)
3.)
etc...

Results: (your observation of what happens, list any error message that may appear)

Expected Behavior: (What you believe should happen)

As others have mentioned here, sending us your Song file would be helpful too. Have you started a support ticket? I will send you an email from our support system so that we can get this resolved and post our solution here in the forum.

Ok, so I've retested using the 003 with Studio One 2 as an interface AND as a midi control surface. It works! You can do both. I'm currently working on a preset mapping that would be visible in the list of External Devices Presets. If you PM me I can send it to you with instructions on how to set it up. Feedback is welcome as well. I'd like to get it perfected so that it can be included with the next Studio One update.

I will do more testing on this, but let's all keep the 003 posts in one central place so that others know where to get the info. We can also discuss what functions can be mapped by default in a preset that can be released in the next update to Studio One.

Here's a link to where you can post for comments.

Take a look at this post. We can collaborate on ideas for mapping the 003 in Studio One that I can include in a preset to be released with Studio One.

So, the preset I've been working on will automatically assign faders when you create a track. Up to 16 faders and it will readjust itself if you hide channels, so for bigger projects that may be the way to go, setting up mix groups in the Console. You will be able to map any function that transmits a midi message. If you press the Flip button you will be able to bank to channels 9 - 16 for fader assignment. The way I have set up the preset is that Faders 1 - 15 will auto assign based on the layout of the channels in the console, and fader 16 is dedicated to the Main fader which I like to have handy. This can be changed if you like. Hopefully soon I'll have a preset that we can include with Studio One, but I can tell you how to install the preset so that you won't have to manually assign faders.

Someone has posted about using the Digi003 Control Surface with Studio One before. I too was a long time Protools user and since last Fall have switched to S1 as my main DAW. I can attest to being able to use the Digi003 Control Surface in Midi mode with Studio One. I have created a preset which I can share that should get you going using the transport and motorized faders. The cool thing is you can map the other buttons to what ever you want them to be in Studio One since ver 2.0.5.

I will work again on this since there seems to be more interest in using this control surface.

You can PM me and I will try to get that to you feedback as to what functions should be mapped by default would be good too.
