16.4.2 » how do I route firewire in to aux sends » Go to message
I can't figure how to send music from itunes on my computer to aux sends by firewire. My headphone out on my macbook is disabled when I hook computer up via firewire. I get my music on the mains and aux 1 but can't send it to aux 2,3,4,5,or 6. I don't understand how it's going to aux 1 and not the others. How do I go about sending to auxes ?

I did a show lat night and one aux for the monitor kept cracking and cutting in and out. I checked all cables and connections and they were alright. Later I started loosing the other monitors. I decided to unhook the firewire from the SL to the mac universal control and the lights got a little brighter and the sound level increased and I didn't have any more problems with the aux's. I also haven't been able to use capture, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. What could be my problem ? THIS WAS EMBARRASSING .

It's all in the Capture reference manual from help window in Capture. Just mark each song name it and save. Open capture, click on help then click on reference manual.
StudioLive Forum Community Support » noise coming over speakers from studiolive when macbook connected. » Go to message
When I connect my macbook via firewire to my studiolive I get all kinds of processor type noise. When I first got my studiolive I tryed it out at my house and everything seemed to work ok. I was able to record in capture without any problem. I hooked everything up at a job this weekend booted my mac up and opened capture. At first I had a lot of wierd noise going on so I rebooted mac. When I did this my studiolive cut out but came back up once computer rebooted, but still had noise and not recording. I'm using the same firewire cable that came with the studiolive. What am I doing wrong ? It did work when I tried it at the house.

Thanks minikin32, I think I'm going to get a used 16GB ipad 1 with a airport express since studiolive remote control is all I'll be using it for.

I have been getting ready to purchase the ipad for remote control of the studio live and had asked about routers previously, but have recently been told that I don't need a router to use the ipad with macbook. Is this true, and does it matter what ipad I buy ?

hey nip187, do you have the extreme or express and how much do you want for it ?

Thanks for the responses to my question. I've always had little or no problems with apple products so I thought the airport express or extreme would be good to use between my studiolive and ipad, I just needed to hear from someone that was actually using it.

Has anyone used apple airport extreme or express with the Studiolive and ipad ? I'm looking to get an ipad for a remote controller and would like to have any suggestions for a wireless router.
Pre-Sales Questions » StudioLive 16.4.2 Rack / Case options? » Go to message
I've been trying to decide on what kind of road case or rack to go with for my 16.4.2. I've been looking at the OSP case vs. the OSP 14 space mixer rack over 4 space rack, also the SKB 12 space mixer rack that mounts on the mighty gig rig. I use the mixer on stage most of the time so the rack mount looks pretty good , but the case has much better protection for transporting. The racks, especially the OSP doesn't look like it would hold up very good during transportation, but the SKB is built of a real hard plastic and looks like it would hold up better. The OSP case looks real protective with all the foam. I welcome any input on this issue. Thanks !
