Here's what I found out about version 2.5, its being released in November and is going to have tighter integration with nimbit, very good if you are using that.

If studio one gets fully coloured mixer tracks as opposed to just the bottom of the track then that'll be a big improvement. Pro Toils has this and it makes track recognition instant. I like the S1 colour scheme on the whole apart from fx tracks and busses are the same colour.

The cubase macro process isn't as simple as studio one.

I would like to see some way of recording pauses within macros.

This would be a browsing improvement for navigating to effects or instruments.
In Contacts in Outlook there is a vertical A-Z which can take you to all contacts starting with the letter you clicked on.
It would improve the Browser if this simple vertical selector was implemented.

fantastic work Lmike, thats what i was talking about. Double click the mixer in the Inspector to float it free.

I made a feature request a while back asking for the ability to double click the fader in the Inspector to make it float freely. That would save you having to open the full mixer just to see one channel.

well for me, i'd like to see colour in the Options.
Simply, i'd like mixer tracks to be all one colour as opposed to just the small section at the bottom of a mixer track.
Also the track and mixer should be aligned so that changing the colour in one changes the other at the same time.
Again, have this as an Option as i know colour usage seems to split people here.

Seriously, don't pass on the Explained video, there is a lot of info in there that whilst you may know how to do in other daws, you'll find if you watch that there's always a quicker S1 way of doing the same thing.

Is there anyone here that knows what the Grouping feature does within the External Devices? I only have one control surface, but I'm curious as to what grouping is for.
