"Thud Good!", but "Thud" changes so often! This is probably a good thing, but Thud may be out of date after killing tree. I have yet to actually print manual as PreSonus updates so often! Good thing, but I agree with "Thud".
Answer is Yup.
Jack in, set levels, tweak, mix, create and burn. Workflow is ridiculously intuitive and getting better. As a guitarist that has used many other DAWS, this just works and lets you concentrate on the performance without "click, dropdown, select, paste, etc.....). Drag and drop and roll.
I challenge you to find a better DAW for guitarists, try the demo! No, I don't work for PreSonus, I am just a convert. Read the forums, give it a try!
Until browser incompatibility or functionality gets sorted out, I agree with Motoko...Chrome works. Absolutely no problems since switching from IE, which was totally doinked.
Thought I would start this thread since I have seen this issue mentioned in more than one other thread.
Hey, all. There has been some reports of white screen issues when using IE with the new forum. This happened to me when trying to view new videos of Johnny's new song created entirely in S1 . Don't know why this is happening, I also had to change to Javascript on my Blackberry to get notifications (that's fixed). Johnny mentioned, I think, trying Firefox or Chrome. I tried Chrome and everything works fine now (not an endorsement). I'm getting used to Chrome and kind of like it (especially since it works here ).
Sooo, if you are getting the white screen you might want to change browsers for now, you are missing some terrific new videos and songs!
Thanks for the moving the thread. What a hoot remembering all of the state of the art stuff we, as kids, were learning on. Many years later, we're still here and yearning for more. Must be a genetic thang (or flaw) we as a community have.
Thanks to all who participated in the memory lane thing. Great old pics!
My older sister had one of these. Weren't they called "luggable"? What kind of selling point is luggable? This, also, does not support Faderport or daisey chaining.
Just to make you all feel young, my first dip into personal computers was a Sinclair. Anyone old enough to remember that piece of programing hell? I am older than Bubble Wrap , but young enough to not put this stuff down.
No screen shot of this, don't know if TV had debuted, yet.
Here I go again talking to myself, but if anyone had similar problems (I saw at lest one in another thread), switching away from IE did the trick. I, this is no endorsement, went with Chrome, and suddenly it works.
Concurrences with all the others, NICE!!!!! I agree, nice to actually hear Vox and instruments rather than burying it in the mix with crazy compression, overdone distortion and uneven levels. I think Audiocave was on target, well done AND a great listen.
Man, I've got to stop talking to myself (shut up and send the reply! I'll give you some Gummi Bears!).
Seriously, going to give it multiple auditions...great stuff!
